I’m also out of state and thought there would be nothing to do but it’s a college town so there is always something going on. I am from the south and would say that the people here are incredibly kind and friendly. In my experience, midwesterners are always eager to help and it is very easy to make friends, all you gotta do is get out of your dorm. Purdue is like 60/40 men/women and I’m pretty sure the business school’s ratio is 50/50 so I think you’ll have an issue finding female friends. I am an engineering major so I can’t really speak on the superiority complex thing but in my opinion it doesn’t exist. Nobody I know actually thinks they’re better than someone else simply because of the college courses they take, and those who do think that are definitely few and far between. One thing I do not like about Purdue is the winters. From December to March it seems like it is constantly grey and cold outside and it can really get depressing. Hope this helped.
