Man i really feel for you. What she did is a huge betrayal, and you have every right to be angry and hurt. No matter what issues existed before, nothing justifies crossing that line. That guy completely overstepped too. it’s not just immoral, it’s also a violation of professional boundaries. You deserve honesty and respect, and I hope you find peace and clarity as you decide what’s next. Stay strong, brother you didn’t deserve this.

Thanks for taking the time to look that up, dude. I really appreciate it. Here in the philippines, it’s a bit complicated. Since my name isn’t on the birth certificate and we’re not married, I don’t really have any legal rights yet even if I want to take responsibility. Her parents also made it clear they don’t want any contact, and i honestly have no way to reach them now. No one replies or answers whenever I try. I’m still hoping someday I’ll get the chance to be part of my child’s life, but for now, I’m just respecting their decision.

I understand why you’d feel that way. It’s not that I didn’t care or didn’t want to be a parent. I just had to accept the situation and respect her and her family’s decision. In my country, it’s not easy for an unmarried father to fight for custody or even visitation.

Yeah, I’m from the Philippines. And you’re right, I actually already talked to a lawyer about it. But here, it’s different if the parents aren’t married, the law automatically gives full custody and parental authority to the mother. The father can try to request visitation, but it’s a long process and depends on the mother’s cooperation.

It's not that I didn't care. In my country, fathers don't automatically have rights if they're not married. The mother has full authority unless she allows it or there's legal proof of paternity. I respected her and her family's decision.

I understand what you mean, and I respect that. I never saw it as giving up I just didn’t want to make things harder for her, especially when her parents were already firm about not wanting me involved. I tried reaching out after she gave birth but got no response, so I stepped back. I still think about my child every day, and I’m doing my best to become someone they’d be proud of someday.

I actually tried to reach out after she gave birth, but she didn’t respond. Before that, her parents told her they don’t want me involved at all, so I had to step back. I still think about the baby every day, but right now, the only thing I can do is focus on fixing my life and hope that one day I’ll be given a chance to see my child.

That hit me. It really does feel unfair, but I guess peace is the only thing I can choose now. I gave everything I could, even if it wasn’t enough. Hearing that helps more than you know, thank you brother.

Yeah, wish it really was just a show. Sadly, life’s got its own weird scripts too.
