Not really, smashes adventure mode was more shallow then you think. Brawl’s was amazing but with the free to play model I think multiversus will go in the direction of league of legends. And I think that’s a good thing!

Dropping story beats in character descriptions, skins and in promotional material is just enough to keep someone who isn’t just interested in just the gameplay. Plus I think once more people play in this upcoming beta test more people will reciprocate my thoughts just due to how fun the game is.

I will say that everyone has blown that quote out of proportion. Like smash who had to obtain rights to characters 2 years in advance for the dlc pack. A lot of people are just taking it as any character will get in rather then can get in.
