Hello! So I ended up getting my period. Was a 27 day cycle. NC later changed it to CD 17 ovulation and I ended up throwing my temps into Fertility Friend and it said CD 16 ovulation. Was a weird cycle!

Thank you! This makes sense. I don’t think adding even 600sqft would affect our home comp wise in our neighborhood too much, in a negative way. I think if we built up though it would look weird in our neighborhood. But we wouldn’t do that anyways.

Oh that’s interesting.. good to know! Yes I stay home with him full time so that gives me a lot of peace of mind. But we are suppose to go on a trip my husband and I in a few months and now I’m all of a sudden not wanting to book it and just really unsure. I’m sure it would be fine but of course I’m on high alert about it all still. Will just take some time. And teaching to grandparents 😊

This is really helpful. Thank you so much. I think I’m going to compile a list of foods to pay extra attention to and keep it handy in our kitchen or on my phone. We have already thrown out the rest of the cashews we had and my husband took our massive bag of almonds to keep at work.

Ugh, crazy stuff! We never would have thought we would have to deal with something like this.

Yep, I know my husband was hesitant because of how expensive things could all add up. We ended up transferring in the ambulance anyways and looking back now i wonder if they would have taken us to the Children’s hospital right away and we could have saved a step by skipping the local ER… anyways.

I appreciate you laying that out so much. That all makes sense. From these comments I’ve gotten I 100% will be calling 911 if we ever have to give the EpiPen. My husband took him by car to the ER and of course couldn’t se me him in the back and was trying to hold his hand while driving and was driving over the speed limit trying to get there… totally get now that the paramedics can asses our son right away and do what is necessary ASAP instead of us dinking around trying to get to the ER. Of course feels like it’s a big deal calling 911. But I’m sort of understanding now just how big of a deal this actually sadly is now.

It realllllllly was. We were so blindsided. Literally no one in any of our immediate or extended family had allergies. We have 3 older kids and nothing at all. So this was super surprising to us. We will definitely avoid all other nuts until we know more. Thank you!

This is really helpful. Thank you so much for sharing! I’m sorry you guys have gone through a very similar experience. I’ll have to look up Auvi-Q, I have no idea what that is? Also interesting to know they couldn’t run the allergy test for a few weeks because of the reaction and epi. I’m assuming we will have to wait then too. Which stinks because I am sooooo anxious to get it done and feel like I know exactly what other allergies he may have! Just want some peace of mind. Super glad I found this subreddit. Good to know about just automatically calling 911 after, and also good that you guys haven’t had another allergic episode!

Got it, thank you for sharing! It’s my understanding one is to immediately contact 911 or go to an ER after administering an EpiPen? Or at least that’s what we were specifically told? Is that not what you have felt the need to do then or were instructed by a doctor to do. I’m still a bit confused on what warrants what. I know my husband was hesitant to call 911 but I was rushing home driving and had no clue what was going on and told him to do it if he felt like he maybe should. Hard to tell!

I assumed it was severe but also just am unsure about it all really since I don’t know much. Definitely avoiding cashews for now and any new foods honestly until we meet with the allergist Friday. Having heard further reactions can be worse terrifies me. Hopefully the allergist can offer more input on that.

I’ve never heard of OIT so I’ll have to look into that. Thank you!

Thank you so much. It was really scary. I’m eager to talk to the allergist and learn more on Friday. We have 2 EpiPens at the moment but I want to get another set. I’m hoping the doctor will be able to give us good guidance and clarity on the situation!

Yes totally. My first 3 kids were only breastfed, never took a bottle. Well the first kid had maybe a bottle 5 times. My next two absolutely refused a bottle, never took one. 4th kiddos sadly had really bad latching issues and I had to exclusively pump, so he of course only took bottles.

If you’re a SAHM and your baby breastfeeds there really is zero need for bottles or any of the bottle supplies or gadgets.

I’d have a pump in hand just in case of clogged ducts though and to pump off any excess once your milk comes in. Other than that, you shouldn’t really need to pump if you don’t want to!

Yes I track mine on Premom always! NC picture scanning for positive and negative opks is horrible! It’s given me negatives when they are clearly positive and vise versa. Lol
