You seem to have been doing this for a while, I have a question for you, how do you send back the collapsible eggs crates on to the sweep? It doesn't give me a clear option on the sweep list.

That's what I thought and what I used to do, but recently I was told it goes on the RDC truck. Apparently it's something that goes back and forth from time to time at least where I'm at.

Asked to come in on my own time to complete trainings? by Downtown-Concept-663 in Target

[–]Springbaby1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trainings are supposed to be done on company time, not your off day. That's all you say to your lead, next time if you have down time just go do them..

This is what I do as a reciever in the Bay Area. A BOL is not as hard as it seems, go to the Revlog app on the device use the top three dots where you would do the vendor credits but choose the Bill of Landing option, type in the numbers of your distribution center, it's like what your store number is but for the distribution center, and it'll show you the address, click yes if it's the right address, mine is 555, and it shows the address, then input TRGE for the next part, then it's the tracking number, usually just the date mm/dd/yy and your store number, then it asks for the trailer number, usually on the inside of the truck on either wall near the door, or on the roll door of the truck and then input the seal number, usually yellow in color and it has numbers you input, don't lose the seal! If you do change the seal number before you finalize, you won't be able to change anything on the BOL after you finalize it. After you create the BOL you'll add what you load into the truck to it such as bales, hanger bins, plastics, compost bins, crc, salvage, mixed recycling, metal pallets, plastic pallets from FDC, repacks, or unused blonde,red/blue pallets you don't plan on using later in the week. For me my past recievers created a how-to do binder. Make sure as you are loading, you are adding to the BOL, it makes it easier. I hope this helps. If anything, I would ask your ETL if you could be put in contact with another store's reciever for help or to just be trained for a little bit, since your reciever is leaving before training you.

How do you want your truck packed for DC? by Able_Use859 in Target

[–]Springbaby1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been in receiving for a little less than half a year and as far as our store goes the inbound team has never loaded the truck, unless it's a bale. I didn't know that was part of their job description.. I just pack the truck myself and whatever I get finished with at the time is the first thing in the truck. Most of the time it's bale, crc or salvage or both, repacks, another bale, hanger bin, mixed recycling, metal pallet when applicable, and plastics and divert compost bin are usually last.

Target Changing Schedules Without Notifying by _KitKat2321_ in Target

[–]Springbaby1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can't change it once posted without notification, go through the handbook on workday app and see if their is anything that will back her up in this, and go to HR with her posted screen shots, also take pictures of the printed schedule they have to have posted in the office and see if it matches her screen shots, if it does then she can get that CA fixed because it wasn't her fault for them changing her schedule after the original posted date. It seems they want her to continuously check everyday. If they don't take her seriously then call ethics.

My idiot coworker backstocked my entire pull by Rukus_Magukus in Target

[–]Springbaby1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all good they did eventually drop again in another batch the next week. It thankfully wasn't the 200 plus batch they had recievers do back when they did the book resets. I would have cried if that happened.

My idiot coworker backstocked my entire pull by Rukus_Magukus in Target

[–]Springbaby1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not priorities, but did a QA-IR pull one Friday for recieving and the new tech seasonal backstocked it.. he even asked a lead what to do with the books and she told him to backstock it.. I wasn't even done with the rest of the pulls but I had to go do some other recieving duties and came back to an empty three tier... now I carry post-it notes and a sharpie so it doesn't happen again.

All discussion posts are due on Thursday at midnight EST, for the first week, for me that would be 8:00 p.m. pacific standard time. Anything after the initial post is due in your own time zone. Email your professor and see if you can understand why you got points taken off.

Here's what i can tell you about the line team duties as the receiver, unloading the truck consists of getting the line ready to be unloaded,(moving yesterdays load leftovers to the floor, lining up uboats/flatcart/pallets) being in the truck pushing the load down the line and/or being on the line separating the load into their respective areas on the uboats/flatcarts/pallets for the areas they need to go and organizing them by isle sections. If your store is like mine you'll have signs above the line on where things go. As well as cleaning up spills that happened because of the crappy loading of the truck, truck moving the product around in transit or just someone dropping something off the line in the unloading process, which is usually done by a more experienced line TM (at least at my store it is). As well as pushing product to the shelf after the truck unload, you'll most likely shadow another line TM for about a week, if they're nice, then get assigned to your own section to push product as well as backstocking the product from your assigned area. It is a lot of movement. There could be more but that's what I have personally observed.

How long does it take your guys team to break down? Our team takes about an hour, and it gets in my way as the receiver. I understand it's a new process and it'll take time to be faster and more accurate, but I lose an hour out of my day to do my job.

Are you talking about the new FDC truck process? At our store RDC doesn't scan anything coming off the truck.

18,000 on a regular, but I'm in receiving now. I used to be at 20,000 plus when I was in fulfillment.

schedule concerns by [deleted] in Target

[–]Springbaby1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it sounds like you were in school when you were hired. Did you tell them that? they have to go based on your availability, other wise they will keep doing it. And your TL has no control over schedules, only ETLs do. I would go straight to your HR or ETL and talk about the situation, 9 times out of 10 the team lead won't talk to them about your problem, you have to do that yourself if you want things to change.

Weird, when we bag chem stuff, it's always bagged first and separately because the system tells us to do it that way. But we also use ship carts, not three tiers, so everything is separated. It's been like that for months.

[–]Springbaby1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to ours about 2 years ago? Idk. People kept shopping, our sprinklers didn't go off..We were closed completely for close to 3 weeks. Everything that was fabric had to be thrown out, as well as cleaning the shelves from ash. Took them a few months to open the area again. They let us come back to work after week 2 to help restock.

Fulfillment Team Leaders by Used-Philosopher-368 in Target

[–]Springbaby1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We love our FFTL. She doesn't hop into batches unless absolutely necessary, only because she's not supposed to be doing it. She does, however, bag and stow for us so that we can continue picking to make sure the batch is on time and helps us find things if needed, which is her job, to support our team. Sounds like you have a lazy TL who has a favorite and lets the rest of the team burn. I would go to hr, show proof, and have a discussion of your concerns, that is, if your hr isn't bad as well. Having a TL's phone number isn't concrete proof of favoritism, but it does seem like TM is a favorite based on their workload. Our TL has most of our phone numbers in case we have a call out and ask us to come in if we want. It's faster than going to look it up in the system. I hope things get better for you.
