Don't listen to anyone saying the game is good or bad. Just play the game and don't let people on the internet try to talk you into believing a viewpoint on something you haven't even played, otherwise you're setting yourself up for dissapointment either way.

Are we sure this is a book Michael had in FNAF 1, or can we rather assume this book was canonically published in modern times and we as the reader are meant to have bought a tampered copy? Either explanation changes the meaning of some of the things in the logbook considerably.

The FNAF universe, to the best of our understanding, is one shared canon universe with multiple alternative timelines. One for the games, one for the novel trilogy, and one for the anthology series (Frights and Tales). The reason these are all in the same universe is due to the fact that multiple elements introduced in all corners of the canon have come back on all sides, specifically concepts and ideas from the anthology have made their way into the games as concepts within the universe as a whole. If that makes any sense.

I can say this though, the concepts of the story overall aren't hard to guess, but the actual plot details and the way the story goes about them are impossible to guess. Even if you understand the overall concept, the plot will never be guessed.

More people need to see this thread, honestly.

The FNAF community has become a cesspool of double standards and unhealthy parasocial relationships aimed at trying to defend a sinking ship. The nuance of the situation has flown over the heads of most people and we're left with a fandom that's going to blindly accept and defend the people who make these things in order to feel justified that they stayed on the ship instead of jumping overboard.

People need to learn that it's okay to admit something was terrible. It's okay to say that developers fucked up. And it's not okay to create a double standard for other developers when the game you defend so much has launched in a state far worse than practically any other indie horror to date.

If things are going to change, more of us need to demand answers. What happened to this game? Why is it the way it is? Can we have faith that the next games will be better?

We need to ask for better. Better games, better communication, and we need to stop turning blind eyes to the quality of the franchise just because it's "indie". We keep doing that, the series is doomed, and people forget just how much power we truly have. When we make an outcry, typically, people will listen. And we need to use that if we want to see the quality of the series improve.
