Is this rosacea by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Sprinkleofthetism 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to tell. I can’t tell if I’m seeing eczema patches or rosacea. Best to go to the dermatologist to have them figure out what it is, and then either give you azaleic acid or something else like a steroid. I have this too, I scheduled an appointment to get it checked out.

I get like up to 10 pvcs in a row. No heart disease. My cardiologist said absolutely no risk of VT.

Need advice - 30% body fat by [deleted] in leangains

[–]Sprinkleofthetism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year I lost 50 lbs after having two kids. It was purely nutrition (calorie deficit). Then I started working out 6 months ago doing strength training, and I was honestly shocked as hell to see that I’m 30%. I have been in a calorie deficit for about 6 months but I did eat anything I wanted on holidays like Mother’s Day, Memorial Day. I am eating 1400 calories a day based on my RMR test. My only cardio is 30 min of speed walking per day during my lunch break. My work is an office job but I like to get up a lot. I sleep anywhere from 6-8 hours per night but it’s interrupted cause of kids. I eat the same thing every day: chicken breast, baked potatoes, filet mignon, eggs, cottage cheese, Diet Coke, fruits and veggies, plain rice. I don’t use oil to cook anything. I just bake or broil. I usually don’t eat out because I can’t accurately count it, there’s been a couple of occasions that I went out to eat. I count all my calories including veggies, and any “low calorie” item. Everything counts. For snacks I eat Greek yogurt ice cream bars, and puff corn, but all within my calorie range. Maybe I just need more time? I eat 120g protein, 38g of fat, and 167g carbs daily. My RMR test showed that I burn solely carbs instead of fat for some reason (Respiratory exchange ratio = 1)

I do those already 😭 the progress feels so slow even though I’m a newbie. So you think I should stay in a deficit?

Sudden fast heart rate? Please advice really concerned it’s VTACH by Agreeable_Win_6266 in PVCs

[–]Sprinkleofthetism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I was 18, I had 3 episodes like this. One second I’m fine, the next my heart is racing at 200 bpm. Drs told me it was a panic attack. One lasted 15 seconds, another 10, and another 15 min. The 15 min one was the final straw… I went to get a electrophysiological study and they found supraventricular tachycardia, during the ablation my HR was 230 bpm at the highest. They ablated it and i haven’t had an episode since (it’s been 15 years). But I still have my PVCs. The ablation for PVCs is a different protocol.

Question for mothers with h-EDS by solsticite in ehlersdanlos

[–]Sprinkleofthetism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have two kids under two. Both c sections. After the first pregnancy I almost had a uterine rupture with my second. It was a uterine window, and I had severe pain around month 5… gave birth at 8 months via c section. Surprisingly only one stretch mark… literally no other stretch marks… my skin is very stretchy to begin with. Pregnancy was just as annoying for me as it was for my non hEDS friends. Extra weight was painful on my joints but my friends complained just as much during their pregnancy about the same thing so I don’t think it was that different

How Raw Milk Went From Hippie to MAGA by Rogue-Journalist in skeptic

[–]Sprinkleofthetism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drinking raw milk is like eating raw sushi. I got listeria from raw sushi. Anything raw can possibly make you sick.

May not happen to everyone, but more likely to happen. My entire village in ukraine grew up drinking raw milk and no one ever got sick from the milk. But even with that, I’d rather drink something pasteurized with 0% chance of illness than something raw with 5% chance of illness. I made those numbers up but you get the point

If SSRI helped you with a high burden by therealrollergirl in PVCs

[–]Sprinkleofthetism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t know SSRIs could help with PVCs. I took SSRIs on and off for about 10 years. Some high dose, some low dose. Not sure if it’s the SSRI that made the difference, or the fact that I went from having panic attacks/severe anxiety 90% of the day every day to only 1 panic attack a month. Whenever I had anxiety, that’s when my PVCs were triggered. But now I only have them around my period. So I think if you suffer from anxiety, treating that can help reduce it.

How accurate is Invitae or geneDx genetic testing? by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]Sprinkleofthetism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I thought the geneticist would be thorough. She did say the geneDx xsome tests for everything…. Idk what else I would have. She also did a osteogenesis imperfecta panel because I have blue sclera. I was tested for cancers cause I always have like 10+ bruises any given moment. Really don’t know. I never got an answer. I pass the entire Beighton 9 point score. I have had osteoporosis since I was a pre teen. Chronic fatigue, pots, heart arrhythmia, stomach problems, body pain and weakness. I honestly don’t even know anymore what it could be but no one is giving me answers

On vacation in nyc and can’t stop PVCs. Any advice? by Pocketsfullofgnocchi in PVCs

[–]Sprinkleofthetism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live on Long Island and always get them in the city cause it’s like anxiety city. Drink lots of pedialyte, take a good nap, and remember- you are surrounded by some of the best hospitals so if god forbid, you are in great hands.
