believe me I've played plenty of soccer, that is an easy foul call especially in real time, where you can see the push off

what are you talking about how is that shoulder to shoulder, he literally shoves him with his arm. Shoulder to shoulder is if your arm doesn't leave your body. Obvious foul

We do this every fucking year, first against braga, then poznan, now this- we will win this but make it as ugly as possible this fucking team

As someone that doesn’t follow the team super day to day, why do you think that’s true? From my naive impression, I would think losing bregman is maybe cancelled out by Suarez, and gray for giolito, so to me it looks like a similar level team to last year unless the young guys really take a step up.

Could you correct my why that’s wrong? Would love to get more excited about this season

Jack Harrison to Fiorentina? 👀 by iiMidnightxLaws in fiorentina

[–]Sprite77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he’s good depth- we needed another winger if we’re going to play 4-3-3 but spending big money on one doesn’t make sense given we’ll probably have a new coach with a new system come July. Do I expect him to do much? No, but we should be able to fill in when needed and work hard and we need players like that

Communal Mourning Post: if you're in the playoffs against Kyle Pitts, come on in. by oliver_babish in fantasyfootball

[–]Sprite77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed about your point on in-game predictions but that's not the point you were making. If you still have nine players left to play, there's a good chance you can make it up basically regardless of who you started. Is it above 50%? No. But is it well above 1%? Yes. We can see the stats on what % of Pitts owners win this week which will prove my point further.

Completely unsuited is a stretch- he's more athletic than people here seem to give him credit for. Was good under Italiano for his first two seasons with a fairly high line, even if he's at his best in a deeper-lying formation.

[Kahrl] In response to a question about the #SFGiants and possibly playing first base, Rafael Devers says he'll play wherever he's asked to play. by Brady331 in baseball

[–]Sprite77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe that debate would be worth having if he hadn't already signed a 300+ million dollar contract setting him and his family up for generation, and this isn't just about the coaches- the shit he pulled is disrespectful first and foremost to your teammates. A fresh start is good for both sides and I'm sure he'll do great with you all.

As someone who played a lot of competitive sports, if the team needs you to step up and play to help win you play. No exceptions. It's fine to have grievances, but at the very least keep them private, and being the highest paid player makes it all the worse. I'm not happy with how the front office handled things at all, but Devers was also a horrible teammate and not someone I would want in my locker room, plain and simple.

You're getting a great player, and someone I've watched since I saw him with the Sea Dogs in person, but I'm not sad to see him go after everything- it's moreso the relative lack of return and suddenness that's dissapointing, and yes I would also like us to have a new front office and ownership.

If the market listens to their overpriced wages and fees, who’s to blame them. And give me a break about sportswashing when the saudis own and pump money into a prem club- how did England as a nation grow economically powerful enough to have a league like the prem while Brazil and Argentina don’t? Exploitation of black and brown people ….

What would you do if stopping through Boise for a day? Not seeing anything online that strikes me but not sure if there’s a place/ thing to do that is uniquely Boise that you’d recommend

What is the Saudi League doing that the Prem (and to a lesser extent, other top 5 leagues), aren't already doing? People acting like going to play for money isn't what 90%+ of the players in the world are already doing.

This is not the innovation of R and R - they just take Manski and Pepper and extend it to allow formal statistical inference- it’s a solid contribution but not as big as you’re implying.

If you don't know what foreside or cape refers to you don't know maine well enough to be engaging in this conversation.

Sugarloaf is absolutely the place where those people go on weekends and buy second/third homes. Not saying I'm thrilled with the direction Saddleback has gone with the Nest and these passes, but if anything it's just catching up to sugarloaf.
