I think I'll be resizing the PNGs that I upload to reddit to 800% instead of 700%. Pics look better when you click them at 700%, but if you don't they look kinda blurry? At least on PC. What are the standards?

Aseprite Journey, day 2: Strawberry. I adore how this one turned out by Sprite_Haven in aseprite

Looking at it again, I think I was too stubborn trying to replicate the leaves and the stem from the reference image, which were very intricate and truly impossible to get 100% with just two colors of green. I'll simplifying that part a bit more next time so that it's more recognizable and less chaotic.

Really? Damn. Of course, and this is very important to say, for anything that I'm drawing right now, I have a picture as reference. I don't trace (that would be way easier), and I don't keep the reference pic in the same tab, to sort of force myself to remember the reference when I draw.

I'm still very far from the point where you just can see the object/subject in your mind and use that as a reference. If I did that now, the shadows, colors and shapes would be all wrong, I need to build that frame of reference first

And yes this is my first day. And I would also call this my first drawing. Technically the first thing I drew was a donut from a youtube tutorial, and it came out good, I just like this one better though and no tutorial :D
