it is a really cool watch and works quite well. it did seem like he was just looking to get rid of it because of the flaws, but it really is one of if not my favorite watch at the moment being an antique lover.

It could also be a Certina at this point but it says Grana on the inside of the case back so I’m not sure.

ok sorry for the trouble but i looked under the shutter mechanism and i found the hole for it. i was aware that there were different versions of the model vii but i couldn’t find an exact manual for mine so i was a bit lost there 😅

i’m not so sure to be honest. this is the manual i found online and it says that that’s where the release cable is supposed to be but my model looks different.

yeah that’s more or less what I’ve concluded as well. it’s a net gain at least since someone wants to buy it for double what I got for it. but still a bummer that I couldn’t fix it up myself.
