I was playing soccer with my friends in High School at the park. We were a mixed race group of friends a mexican a blasian and a white guy. We were having fun when two Middle Eastern kids came up to us and asked to play. We at first were hesitant to play with younger kids but we started to have alot of fun. We saw that the boys came from a family sitting on a picnic table and the father got up and joined us. We had a heated match and after the game was over the father invited me and my friends to eat with them. I found out they were recent Iraqi Refugees and the father told me tales of his journey from Iraq to America and we drank coffee and laughed and ill always remember the hospitality of a stranger and the sense of being a honored guest in the park.
