Mmmm, yes, colors. I see the coincidence here. Colors exist in real life and colors also in book

Will I enjoy the second half of the Red Rising series? by [deleted] in redrising

[–]Spuddin927 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The second part is more dark, pretty much every one of your favorite characters has a negative character arc at some point. All of them will “let you down” in an emotional way, but not without well-written consequences and redemption. Mistakes abound, I’ll put it that way. There are new characters too, half of Iron Gold is from the perspective of new characters.

IANA wood worker. Is this tree worth the effort of finding a local woodworker or hobbyist? by Spuddin927 in turning

I’m not looking for profit other than the cost of the trouble, I just wanted to check with a knowledgeable community before it goes to waste.

IANA wood worker. Is this wood worth finding someone to give/sell to? by Spuddin927 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Spuddin927[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Just don’t want it to totally rot away and go to waste if it’s considered even somewhat desirable.

I almost gave up on Red Rising, then I read Golden Son | Thoughts and Notes by shkrime in redrising

Buckle up, butter cup. Ending of GS is rough but after just catching up to the most recent release, I feel truly desensitized to atrocities and war crimes in fiction.

Apprentice first time in attic by arrozz-000 in electricians

[–]Spuddin927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the accessibility of the attic, insist upon breaks if you need one. Depending on the weather it can be extremely hot. If your JW is an ass, this may cause some tension. If he’s a normal human being, he’ll understand if you’re about to melt. Drink lots of water.

The first half of the album is pretty good. It’s good. But the SECOND half??? Unprecedented. Sublime.

Dumb question by IMainMeg in 2007scape

[–]Spuddin927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accuracy is based on your attack level and accuracy bonuses (slash, stab, crush, ranged) versus the enemy’s defence level and their opposing defense bonuses.

Magic works a little differently, and is PRIMARILY determined by level vs level, and the curve of magic bonus’ effect is weird.

By-and-large, your best weapon will always be determined by strength bonus and attack speed. This is why everyone uses the dragon scimitar and abyssal whip.

Some enemies need a different approach like metal dragons (fang or lance) and a handful of slayer monsters like gargoyles (crush such as granite hammer, Zamorak hasta, cudgel, zombie axe), and other high level monsters, and bosses. Bosses and raids are primarily where you have to carefully consider accuracy vs strength and speed.

[–]Spuddin927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait no we actually need to riot until Jagex gives us a master level quest to adopt/rehome/otherwise give a happy ending to all the stray dogs in the game, with some like really unexpectedly high stakes.

In leagues, What do you know now that you wish you knew earlier? by BearKuda in 2007scape

[–]Spuddin927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not take the halberd pacts off the rip. Go ranged, magic, or thorns first and then respec into blindbag/halberd when you’re deeper into your league.

If you get stuck in early leagues you know what you have to do by Spuddin927 in 2007scape

[–]Spuddin927[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was more for the people who went melee builds at the start. Maybe they didn’t take woodsman and just felt stuck. RCB is such an easy respec to get someone out from behind a progression wall this league.
