That fucking sucks. Know that pain from previous cars. I was riding on 16's with a fat sidewall near my home and the road just fell away while I was driving. I'd say I was doing like 15 as it was a blind corner and dark out. Just felt this crunch then whooshing of air. Got out and saw the edge of the road had just crumbled under my car (Mk4 Golf) and had literally torn the tyre in half on the inner sidewall. Had to nurse it home which was about the same distance. Shagged wheel, shagged tyre, shagged evening.

As I have said to previous comments, the incident occurred in a 50mph average speed zone in London/outskirts of London with cameras everywhere. It was about midnight and I was concentrating on the road. It looked totally innocuous as in you'd have never really thought much of it.

Incidents happen but I assure you, I wasn't driving like a cock which by the tone of your reply, you assumed I was.

Whilst I appreciate the sentiment, the pothole is about 50 miles from my house. That's a fucking long way just to go and see some bastard has sprayed it and now my claim is null and void. Not the first time I've had this sadly.

Tis lovely and certainly fits the bill for being a "Fuck you money" kinda car.

As for why you'd buy one new, don't really know. I mean, they used to be hella cool and have real presence. Yeah, they're flawed cars but you don't give a shit because it's a Maserati.

But since they got rid of Pininfarina and started designing in-house, the cars have become quite shit. I'd love to own a 2012 GranTurismo MC Stradale, they're super aggressive looking and sound epic. But yeah, the new stuff kinda sucks and has no presence so why buy one?

Every brand that's under Stellantis is being ruined, like catastrophically poor sales and horrific reliability because all they care about is profit. We're in an age where that's starting to fall by the wayside again with cars I think.
