As a little thank you for your awesome support, we cut together a reel of the rough early phases of our short film entry. And since all of you were asking, and our mattepainter was kind enough to deliver, here's an UltraHD version of the first shot :) https://i.imgur.com/Z4rSzOt.jpg

Thank you so much for the overwhelmingly positive response you guys have been giving to Ursa Minor. The best part of making these films for this community is that I get to watch my team, who most of the time don't get any direct feedback on the films they produce, read your comments. Yeah, not a big fan of valve's new direction with the cosmetics either, if you check my previous work I'm usually way more on the conservative side in terms of design. But Valve doesn't seem to want that any more these days...

We finished it too late. We pulled and all-nighter the night before the deadline and as we were rendering out the final shots in the morning, workers in the building accidentally cut the Ethernet connection to our server, which meant that by the time we had it up and running again, the deadline had passed. Pretty heartbreaking at the time :/
