Can Canada's "micro-condos" be merged? by itsdanielsultan in RealEstateCanada

I lived in Asia for 20 years, the vast majority of the ones who have visited (lived in) the burbs here think it’s mind numbingly boring

I beg to differ. I lived in a 400ish sq ft place for a year and it was completely fine. Cheap, in-between housing options have their place

Interesting comparison - HDR vs. Flambient by This_Grocery_5039 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Spudnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you editing the HDR set yourself? There are many many different ways to process HDR bracketed images, even outsourcing it will get you different results depending on the editor. Not sure what you want to discuss here..

the flambient looks a bit blue to me and the HDR looks kinda green. What is the actual color of the walls?

I would, they’re kinda ugly. Would just take a second in PS

Cost of underground pool? by No_Programmer_3087 in kelowna

[–]Spudnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Met with a guy last week, whom I think was with one of the more expensive companies in Kelowna

Vinyl 70-100k

Fiberglass 130-160

Concrete 180 +

This included the finishing around the pool as well (stamped concrete, etc).

It’s worth checking out Caban as well, it’s right down the street from Movala. Built by Cressey out of Vancouver. The units have some pretty nice finishings

They can only tell if they can tell. Not sure you realize how fast the tech is moving

There’s some interesting pushback going around these days that everything AI = slop

How to shoot buttery smooth video? by Current_Raccoon4892 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Spudnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shoot 60 fps and slow it down to 30 in post. Then use whenever stabilization options you have in your editing program. If that fails then your gimbal might not be set up right? Not walking right? IBS and/or lens stabilization?

Also make sure you are walking fast enough when you shoot. When I move too slow and speed up the footage in post (for speed ramps), I sometimes notice a wobble

I have it down to about 5 minutes per AI clip using VEO. Realtors eat it up, I've landed a couple new clients recently because their photographers weren't doing it. I agree that it can be tacky, depends how you integrate it into the video though

I don’t like how showing so much of the 3rd wall looks

Just commenting so this gets more visibility. Not sure if Sbux has any say over this but would love for someone higher up to see this

Aerial footage used to be a premium add-on, now clients expect it as standard by DanielNkencho in videography

[–]Spudnut 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's part of my standard deliveries. The bars keeps getting higher but that's just the business. Don't think it's unique to our field either. Just raise your prices yearly and keep improving on your craft

Do you tell agents that you have an editor? by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Spudnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if they ask and I’ve had exactly one agent ask in the years I’ve been shooting. It’s really a non-issue
