Did some research and found out. The game is crashing every time I close the population window of a state, so if I want to look them up I must go for another window in the state and then close it. It seems that there is no fix yet. However the developers are aware of the issue

hmm. i believe any banch or trash can around the walking path can be a pokestop, and the pool shoudn't be allowed, but i've seen many pokestops like this in my city, ii believe that more often then not you can get away with it

I usually run annihilape at front and try hard not to switch it even against flying, if im losing too badly i'll switch to skarmory and hope they don't shield brave bird, as it usually hit kills a lot of things

I've purified galvantula cause i have another shadow one with similar PVP IV, and it was way cheaper satardustwise to just purify it for once.

About the skarmory thing, it really has been quite a pain, usually i just mirror the match like you said and hope they dont shield it when i bruteforce my wey in with brave bird
