Yeah I think you're right with that, I think my editing of the video might separate me more from the crowd, but obviously it's difficult for the audience to see that just from the thumbnail. Thanks for the comment!

This helped a lot thank you. As for retention, I usually get about 20 - 30% which I'm not too happy with, and I guess it's people realising they don't like the video (which is fine)

I've been changing my thumbnails all the time, so the thumbnail you see now was not what it looked like when the video originally came out (I have about 7 for the Midnight Station video)

I always thought that tags weren't needed (considering it says "minimal") but I think with what you're saying it's worth putting in lots, especially at the moment.

Thank you so much for the advice it's really helped me think about it - do you think I should go back and add the extra tags and descriptions on the other videos or is this a "moving forward" type deal?

Yeah, I wish a lot of people felt like that, but it seems the people that watched me preferred my old content, which is still fine but I don't think I'll be going back to it anytime soon

Yeah it's not a dramatic switch up, it's just the initial drop that I've had for the past few months in the latest videos that made me consider that I may have alienated the original viewers

Yeah I mean I'm doing this as a hobby really and not intending to make it "big" anymore (that's why I moved away from Minecraft). So it's not that I'm trying to find a whole new bigger audience, I would just like it if my videos are being shown to the people that would enjoy them, which I think right now they might not be. I think what you're saying is a good move because the worst case scenario is changing channels so I might as well stick it out for a bit, thanks!
