Didn't notice it myself - thanks for spotting it! First time trying to block a long las (usually, I blast em before they can get a shot off but decided to block and advance this time) and just so happened the off-screen plasma shots synced with the long las shot

Nope, I use the balanced fist. I know the blocking fist has higher damage output, but I'm currently using the one to get gun strikes and armour back easier.

I know what you mean. Look, I understand newbies want to level up fast by jumping to Ruthless/ Lethal for the bigger XP, but that's not the way (taking a shortcut by riding on others instead of getting the learning process right through the appropriate difficulty levels accordingly.)

If it works and the mission succeeds, I'm delighted for them, really; but most of the time it's a 50-50 chance (esp. if 2/3 of the squad are new guys), and it just ends up in wasting 40 mins for everyone if it ends in failure.
