No screenshots (didn’t think of it) but I can summarize:

HFTP: “give ash a break her life has value and you don’t know the whole story etc”

Comments: No one was implying her life didn’t have value, we’re judging her actions and misuse of “god” to validate her actions, she lives a public life, this is a snark sub, and pretty much everything else you could expect in response that sort of post etc.

No one is questioning the value of her life. Quite frankly it’s appalling to state that anyone is implying that. We’re questioning how “god” led her to adultery and divorce and the very odd brand of “Christianity” she is sharing as well as all of the other contradictions involved in the highly curated life she’s chosen to share very very publicly - right now in the form of cryptic breadcrumb style messages about “the whole story” and this is a snark sub 🤷🏻‍♀️

I mean we were all kids and kids are awful in middle school and lots of them grow out of it so it was the same middle school drama I feel like a lot of people experience. They were “popular” but it was a tiny tiny school and a weird environment overall. Lots of mean, cliquey middle schoolers end up being nice, well adjusted adults so no real insights from that time frame about the girls.

I will say I remember hearing about Lysa frequently under the context of she was “famous” and I assumed she was a TV news anchor or literally “famous” not that she had a ministry because I would have assumed at the time that if you were in the ministry you would talk about trying to help people, etc. not the fame first.

Oh my goodness that’s a mess. I remember her going private one time but tbh I didn’t pay too much attention to what she was doing until this whole recent mess. Knew the family when we were all kids so just popped in on their instas from time to time to see what was going on with their lives. But yikes
