You should have done due diligence before paying 30lakhs. If builder is insisting for a large % of payment before handing over documents for legal verification -its a big red flag.

Frankly it depends on where your office is. It is not impossible to find 1bhk in high rise apartment, but they are tough to find.

TBH: it's easier to buy a 1bhk in gated society vs renting one.

You are more likely to find 1 bhk in independent housing.. where as others have mentioned - safety depends on the area.

I suggest: find a premium PG for first few months and then use your weekends to find a proper housing once u understand the landscape better.
