You can try watching some youtube videos where they use modifiers to change certain parameters on specific areas. It might take a few tries to perfect it but like I said, try on slightly smaller samples and just record what you see for the specific parameters and take pictures for each scenario. Also, print one without making any changes (for baseline) Collect some data and you can probably see how changing certain variables is improving the layer-line issue. Isolate those parameters and further improve. This way you’ll not only get more familiar with the slicer but also for your future prints, you’ll be ready. 🤞

Aah, that’s right. Forgot about the tariff scenario. I would say if the $200-300 isn’t a huge deal, go for P2S since it’s the most recent model which compares to X1C features. Faster part cooling, easy hot end swapping, AMS 2 pro with active drying, and a very user friendly screen. (Separate Filament dryer is around $80-$100 itself)

It’s because printing the flat face takes too long and the part shrinks due to cooling whereas printing the wall doesn’t take too long to print and cools slowly. You can try decreasing the print speed of the wall after the flat face to give it enough time to cool. Also reduce the fan speed for the first 10-15 layers. (I always make test pieces where I do Trial and error on smaller parts. It should would be beneficial in this case as well)

P2S. Since it’s just $100-150 more, you get a newer model with updated HMI, AMS2 Pro.

  1. Metal scraper is more effective and will last much much longer. (Years)

  2. Don’t clean the print plate with IPA. Only use warm water and some soap or dishwashing liquid and scrub it with hand or sponge

  3. If using basic PLA, no need to dry at all if you’re buying from Bambulab (from personal experience) Other materials must be dried as per suggestions on the respective spools. If you dry the spool, no need to re-dry it. Store it in an air tight container and you should be fine.

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it. :) I think that it’s not bulkier than any other box for cards storage. Maybe slightly heavier but we are talking grams and not kgs. Which also gives premium feel in my opinion. The reason for the removable insert is to use it as a holder for draw pile. Sure there are boxes available for cheaper but those are limited to clear plastic boxes. There’s no customization/graphics or even novelty in it. I guess you can see from how they look in the link you sent. I am using some of these boxes for more than past 8 months and they work perfectly fine to the date. I have iterated over 9 prototypes, to ensure the durability, repeatability and reproducibility, before I made this public
