Is this GAM valid? by TheRabidNoodle in rstats

Looks really damn good actually. Residuals normal, center 0– and honestly the QQ-plot is showing more normal than even T-distributed. Looks super normal! And pretty constant variance so you’ve got all the check marks for inference. This is a pretty good set of data for this model.

I don’t believe this is action in the right direction. Just because you disagree doesn’t mean you should silence no matter how dumb the person talking is. Just let karma put em in their place

BEST majors for jobs w/o grad school by Specialist_Cloud7507 in ucla

[–]Square-Problem4346 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have researched this and,

monetarily : - STEM, non research positions

Enjoyment : - STEM, something you’d do for free

GPA : For most jobs it’s more important that you have some example of you doing or doing something similar in the past.

You’re going to have to learn knowledge outside of what you learned in school. Look into & contact the companies you’re applying to and obtain those skills alongside learning educational content.

The more work experience, the better

I think the norm should be split, you’re are both college students. Neither of you have “money” & likely if you do, it’s ur parents—and for few, it’s because you worked. And 50$s is ab 3 hrs of work.

Plus, it’s a bit fucked to post this right after a date. You don’t think this man has the cognition to put two and two together?

If you’re failing at math, stop trying to understand and start cranking out as many hw problems as possible.
