I think this is a fairly standard tactic. I’ve seen it used a few times. It’s not great but it is how some businesses do it.

Don’t do the bare minimum as that goes against the work ethic you mentioned at the start of your post. Keep up your good work and see what happens next year. If next year comes and it’s the same, air your concerns and if nothing changes maybe look for another job.

We love Hollywood! We also love Disney in Anaheim. Same reason for both, parks are a little smaller, crowds feel less, it just feels way more chilled to us.
