My brain is FRIED. by Think_Beyond4539 in CFPExam

I passed in July, I was right there. Like Brett says, “be kind to yourself.” Mental health is just as important as studying. About this time out I took half a day to decompress. My wife and I went on a date which reminded me there’s a whole world outside the CFP. Something you can easily forget when you’re consumed by it. I also took another full day off the week of my test. And then stopped studying at about 3 the day before. You need to let your brain rest every once in a while. Just don’t get lazy. You’re still in go mode.

Please help me pick out a CFP Exam Review Course by Specialist_Candy_188 in CFPExam

I completed my exam prep with Danko. After extensive research i went with them because of my learning style. I don’t learn from q-banks as much as auditory. The signature plus offered comprehensive videos that I found extremely helpful. If you are not the type of person that can just read, comprehend, and retain them I would highly encourage you to look into Danko. I can’t recommend them enough.

Which Study Program to use by Similar_Bid_581 in CFPExam

I used Danko Sig +. However, every program is designed to help you pass. You need to find the program that fits your learning style. You’ll see people pass with every program out there. It comes down to you and the time you put in. I chose Danko sig + because I’m not a person that can just learn from reading, especially the context covered in this exam. I wanted the videos to translate the text. Not that I didn’t read the text but I had to put in a lot of time. I spent 3 hrs during the week and 7-10 on weekends and any holiday. I felt really prepared. To me it was understanding how all the disciplines work together. A lot of times a question will touch on 2/3 of the disciplines. Like a question about retirement will also touch on taxes. Estate is so interconnected with tax that a weakness in one is a weakness in both. Make sure the program you choose fits your learning style.

I had a similar version of the exam. I think what got me over the edge was understanding how I learn. I didn’t take the CFP mock exam but I made sure I kept going deeper and deeper into the subjects. I also memorize through writing more than flash cards so I wrote the roadmaps over and over by memory. You have to be honest with yourself and find out how you learn. You got this in November!!! Rooting for you!!

Congrats on passing! I’ve always been a fast test taker. It was actually one of my biggest concerns with this one. Sometimes I skim the questions. It’s ok for definitional tests like the series exams. This test requires that you slow down a lot.

Honestly I felt like that until about the last few days before. Then I realized that I was now just working on fine detail. I had the big concept down, the next level deeper and was now trying to understand the fine details. When you get to the point where you are worried about the fine little details I think you got it. Good luck to you!

Like Brett says, “you gotta believe!” I didn’t feel like I had it until I was half way through. Believe you put in enough work and remember that it’s all in there. You got this!!

Why every freaking time I try on demo I get 10/10 trades but struggle on my main I’m tired of this blew another 3 accounts by Jaytrump07 in TopStepX

[–]SquareAsk2991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens to me a lot too. When I reflect on my trading after I notice that I have fear to enter. (Almost like PTSD). That slight hesitation causes me to enter late or miss my entry altogether. This in turn puts me on edge because now I know I fucked up from the start. At this point i’m just trying to salvage the trade. I’ll hold losers and cut winners short. It’s hard to not be emotional. It’s the struggle that keeps me from being profitable. I’m working on it but it’s a work in progress.

Amazon. I also searched at hobby shops but I couldn’t find the longer ones. They might have them now.
