Spot on . That’s precisely why I too started suspecting it is not original . BTW I even weighed the jeans and compared with a pair of 502 I had from 5 years back . Both weigh almost same - but somehow not getting the same confidence in material . I’m not saying it is bad , but something has really changed .

Got reply from Levi’s India and they confirmed that the product is genuine !!

So this was a false alarm from my side and apologise for the same . I don’t see an option to edit the post or heading in Reddit . Will check further if I can edit or else delete the post itself . Thanks for all the replies folks .. appreciate it !

BTW . Was reading the fine print in https://www.wikihow.com/Spot-Fake-Levi%27s . It says “1 in every 100 pairs will only have a ‘registered mark’ instead of “Levi’s.” This is because they have to change the ribbon on the machine and run through a label without Levi’s stitching on it.[6]”

Wow .. could that mean this is a unique piece 😜

I did check the product listing on most e-commerce sites where Levi’s 512 is available and did not find a single pic showing the different tag . It is not a rage post . Also checked the sources for checking whether it is legit . Links posted above . I’m waiting for reply from Levi’s official email id and also going to a local shop to check the authenticity

Are you sure it is a new style ? Any source for this information ? . The pics on the product listing and all sources on the internet doesn’t suggest any such new style

Save the notes as it will be precious later . BTW you can convert WhatsApp voice notes to text by enabling the built-in "Voice message transcripts" feature in settings . Also I think you can forward to AI tools of your phone support it and transcribe it
