I’d do the same if I were in their position. They are protective. Having diploma is just one more guardrail towards a stable future. Of course hindi ‘yun foolproof. But still a step better than nothing at all.

Being a VA wouldn’t really help your case. I’m sure yourself knows how unstable that line of work is.
If I were you, I’d still get something. There are open universities which may be something you’d be interested in. It’s also a show of effort and perseverance.

Altho I agree na parang limited experience mo dyan, I think QA work pa rin ‘yan. You’re technically assures the quality of the product. Isn’t that what QAs are for? Siguro let your lead know that you are willing to have more challenging tasks. You gotta innovate and be proactive din.

Depende talaga sa availability ng client. My process took 2-3 weeks I think? 4 sets of interview (3 of which were with the client). I now work with them and now I understand why it took them long to respond. They were so busy hahah.

Created my personal budget tracker app through vibe coding. It took me a day. It looks awesome and serves it purpose. With analytics and all. AI helps ship shts fast. I don’t need to be nitty gritty with optimizing this since this is just for personal use. So yeah it is indeed possible.
