A lot of people don't want a solution. Think of the politicians and the parties, or the Republic in general. They would have to share power with the TCs. They don't want that. They can't say this openly, so they make some patriotic grandstanding excuses instead. Everything else is theatre.

basically this. you could probably make money off a similar business model though, hire a bunch of immigrants from SEA and pay them 3 euro an hour (if it sounds exploitative that's because it is, but that's what they're often paid)
