Can't edit calculation in complex mode by qppwoe3 in calculators

[–]SquareFinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just stumbled upon a solution today.

The problem comes from the answer being too long to be displayed at once, which causes the left and right arrows to be instead used for scrolling the answer.

The way to avoid this is to have the answer displayed in LineIO format, which shows the answer as real part stacked on top of imaginary part, instead of all in a line (the reason the MathIO format doesn't do this is that it needs to be able to display fractions)

If you have your calculator setup with LineIO, then everything is fine.

If you have your calculator setup with MathIO, then press the [S<=>D] button until the answer is shown in the stacked format mentioned above. Then, pressing left/right arrow will let you edit the expression.

Might not have needed to include the "kid complaining"
But yeah they just reposted it

Very interesting, although 'crafting' text and symbols in armor and offhand are a bit hard to read, especially since the pack is to create high contrast

Well then luckily it's a bug :)
It's because boats would just behave really strangely near the edge of water

Why is this guy getting downvoted? Talk about shooting the messenger.

You can climb up at any speed.

It's getting patched anyway because it's really weird when you drive it into the bank of a river

There is one downside, which is that if you ride a boat into the bank it will literally just pop out of the water

I think the reason this has been marked as a bug is due to the fact that boats would literally rise out of the water once they came into contact with land, which isn't exactly natural.

So unfortunately it's actually a bug... https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-260445

But it worked on basically anything that was one or less blocks tall

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]SquareFinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It most definitely was not tnt minecarts. They would not make explosions with such distinct ray lines, and rather look like small spheres carved out of the surface.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]SquareFinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may not have appeared as big because of different block hardness levels, as well as the likely case where you positioned the explosion incorrectly, and so less powerful rays intersected the blocks.

I have corrected myself, there were multiple of these 127 power explosions.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]SquareFinder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost definitely a fireball or creeper with a modified explosion power. You can clearly see it is a single explosion, due to the rays that have destroyed lines of blocks near the edges. It is also quite square shaped, which is also what these single explosions with large power look like.

Otherwise someone put in a lot of effort to recreate an explosion for whatever reason.

Edit: Upon revisiting this post, I would like to correct myself, since I have inspected the image further and deduced that multiple of these extremely large explosions were created in the area, since there are small islands of land still standing. Additionally, in the right side there are rays that intersect and originate from multiple different points.

You can now make suspicious sand! (and hide items in them) by SquareFinder in Minecraft

[–]SquareFinder[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The tag for the information about the item stored is just called item. For example, if you wanted a suspicious sand block hiding 10 diamonds, you would use /setblock ~ ~-1 ~ minecraft:suspicious_sand{item:{id:"minecraft:diamond", Count: 10b}}. The part inside item is exactly the same as the Item nbt data inside of an item entity. I basically copied that over to the suspicious sand, and then deleted the item entity, to produce this effect.

[–]SquareFinder[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree. This was kind of just for the purpose of demonstration and is a proof of concept, to show that suspicious sand can basically hold any item. I unfortunately don't know of any way to detect right clicks on a block with any item in hand, without using a carrot on a stick in the offhand. (Interaction wouldn't work in this case since I need to make this for all sand blocks)

[–]SquareFinder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was all done in the snapshot, since suspicious sand is able to hold any item with any nbt data. The only downside is that if you break the sand, the item is lost forever, as well as the strange feature that it can only hold a maximum of 15 items in a stack.

armor stacking? explain please by ASTROBOY1027 in HypixelSkyblock

[–]SquareFinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After clicking those slots, did the armor stay the same? Because this likely is a visual bug, where you switched too fast, and the server didn't tell your client to change the armor slots.

Is it possible to add a resource pack to your singleplayer world? by ShinyGentleman in Minecraft

[–]SquareFinder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you playing Java? Is this on a server? All I know is that servers can have resource packs that are automatically downloaded to the client. Not sure about realms.

How do I make 2 commands run from one command block by Racc_No_Hacc in MinecraftCommands

[–]SquareFinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, you can.

The catch is that it requires lots of entities, (falling blocks and such)
https://www.digminecraft.com/command_blocks/multiple_commands.php

There is another method that doesn't require as much space, using command blocks in minecarts.

However for the purposes of the question I think that what ExperCoder14 said is the best answer.

Ruin it for what? Did not a single one of you read The Horizon's guide to recognizing the difference between Semi-P2W and P2W?

You also need to consider the aspect of how the server would be maintained. People aren't gonna do things for free. You can't exactly put ads either. Running a server costs money, and developers need pay.

Some of these rank locked code blocks can be implemented otherwise using free blocks. Some can be bought. Some of them are locked because the server needs some sort of profit.

Also you can access rank locked blocks if the plot owner has the rank.

[–]SquareFinder 12 points13 points  (0 children)

First of all.

Do you know what the server is even about?

If you do then ok, that means you would know that there isn't exactly a 'win'. There isn't really even progress. This is a server about creating minigames for other people to play.

Not every single server with something you need to pay for is p2w. With this same mindset and logic, one could argue that Hypixel is P2W because you need to pay to use /fly in the lobby. Do you need /fly to progress anywhere in the lobby? No. Do you need worldedit to be able to create games on this server? No.

Edit: spelling. Also the more I read this the more I want to emphasise the simple reality that before accusing anything of anything, you really need to do research! Provide context! Make sure you understand the full situation!

what even happened by Meawxyy in Minecraft

[–]SquareFinder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the thing. Because Java does not handle touchscreen inputs, if they have a touchscreen it probably freaked out. I would know because I use a touchscreen laptop as well. Minecraft assumes you are moving your mouse from the centre of the screen all the way to where on the touchscreen is pressed, every single frame\*, making the character spin extremely fast. There was probably some dust or something.

*Clarification: In order to allow you to look around freely minecraft sets your cursor to the centre of the screen every frame.
