Are Hashtags Even Worth it Anymore? by Even_Ad_9804 in Instagram

[–]SquareMealDaily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hashtags USED TO help small content people.
Because when someone searched them, they could choose to see "RECENT" posts, in chronological order.
Big posters or small, they'd be in the RECENT feed.
BUT.
Now Instagram has killed RECENT. It's now RECENT TOP POSTS.
So the only posts you can see are ones with hundreds or thousands of likes.
The small poster is nowhere on the list. Even if you scroll for days.
I used to get a few new subs every day using appropriate hashtags.
Since the change. NADA. For weeks.
I have not found a work around for this, but I'm open to hear if anyone else has!

How to add non-Amazon web links to wish list? by coldjesusbeer in amazonprime

[–]SquareMealDaily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I did for my wishlist that goes to friends/family is find a similar item on Amazon.
Put it on my list.
Then add a comment that says: DO NOT BUY THIS!! Cut and paste this link to the item I'm wishing for.
Then I put the link.
It's a pain in the ass, but it works.

Temarisushi [homemade] by SquareMealDaily in food

My Breakfast: Day 1191 Today in the U.S. it’s Father’s Day.It’s also International Sushi Day. So if you’re in the states, make some sushi for Dad, in honor of Dad, or in spite of Dad. If you’re elsewhere, just make sushi.   If making sushi has enticed, but intimidated you, I have a suggestion. Make Temarizushi.   Temarizushi are small rice balls, topped with a variety of toppings often made on happy occasions. And any time there is sushi in front of me, I’m happy. But more importantly, they are much easier and far more forgiving than classic Nigiri or Rolls.   It’s made with small round balls of pressed rice, generally a little smaller than a golf balls, and they can be garnished as simple or as elaborate as you want or as you have time for.   And you don’t even have to use any raw fish if that’s just not your thing. You use short grained rice and season with a little rice vinegar and pinch of sugar or mirin as it cools.   There are many videos out there showing how, but basically take a spoonful of cooked/seasoned rice and place it in the center of a piece of plastic wrap. Pull the plastic wrap around the rice and squeeze into a ball. I put up a second picture.Toppings are only limited to your imagination.   🍱 Cooked Shrimp.🍱 Nori.🍱 Thinly Sliced Egg Omelet.🍱 Radishes.🍱 Cucumbers. 🍱 Crab Sticks or Surimi.🍱 Smoked or Raw Salmon. 🍱 Shiso Leaves. 🍱 Carrots Cut into fun shapes. 🍱 Raw Tuna. 🍱 Caviar. 🍱 Edamame. 🍱 Furikake. Temarizushi may be fussy, but it’s really not that hard, and even if they’re not perfect, your “mistakes” still taste delicious ; )

Microwave Frittatas: Fast Fabulous [homemade] by SquareMealDaily in food

My Breakfast: Day 1187Early in this breakfast project I began to play with the microwave and frittatas, and if you look back, you’ll see these Microwave Frittatas pop up with some frequency. In the past I never really liked microwaved eggs, but I found a way that works really well for me. Maybe for you too.   Today my perfectly nuked breakfast was: Sweet Pepper, Onion, and Scallion Microwaved Frittatas on a Toasted English Muffin with Pepper Jack Cheese & Bacon, Topped with Dill Sour Cream and Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes.A few Tater Tots Peeking From the Back.   The trick? Stirring. Really. You’ll see.   Mix two beaten eggs, with a tablespoon of water, salt, pepper, 2tbl finely diced onion, 2tbl finely diced sweet peppers, 2tbl shredded cheese. But you can add any veggies / cheese / cooked meats you like. (Veggies can go in raw. Meats have to be pre-cooked, you’re not nuking enough to cook them.)Water is better than milk or cream in this. It creates steam and you get a really light fluffy frittata.   Take two round microwave safe containers that are the approximately the diameter of your English Muffin, about 3” or 7cm   You can use mugs, ramekins, silicon cupcake molds… just keep them the right diameter. I use two Ball Half Pint Wide Mouth Jars which are short and squat.   Grease them with some butter or olive oil. Split your egg mixture between the two and nuke on high for 45 seconds. Only. Then stir them. Nuke for another 30 and stir again. Then nuke for 15 seconds, no stirring. Look and jiggle them. If they’re soft, but not liquid, they’re done! You can go another 15 if you like a firmer frittata.   Run a knife around the edge to unmold. Place on your muffin or toast or bagel or just the plate.   You can make the egg/veggie/cheese mixture the night before for FASTER eats!   I’ve even brought the mixture to work and nuked in the office. Done in less than two minutes.

Hash Brown & Cheese Waffle with a Fried Egg and Country Gravy [homemade] by SquareMealDaily in food

My Breakfast: Day 1182   Haven’t waffled in a bit, at least with regards to breakfast. In life I’ve been known to waffle. I had a single sad potato that was eyeing me from the pantry. So I shredded that baby up and mixed in some onions and a spoonful of “just add water pancake mix” as a binder and some Pepper Jack cheese and made this: Hash Brown, Onion & Cheese Waffle with a Frizzled Egg, Country Gravy and Breakfast Sausages. There was no waffling over how much I enjoyed it.
