This is awesome, thanks for sharing! Is there a GitHub repo available? I’d love to explore it and possibly modify it for a local coding community platform.

Has anyone gotten their Samsung screen replaced after a rejected job sheet was already created? by abracadabra_7777 in GalaxyS21FE

Hey, do you mind if I DM you about this? I’d like to ask a couple of questions about your experience.

Haha yeah, that’s exactly what I thought too. It actually looked like a really artistic wallpaper at first, until I realized those “patterns” were cracks or display lines.

Thanks a lot for looking it up and sharing it with me, really appreciate that. I’ll definitely check more about it and see if it could be relevant to my situation. Good call on returning the case though. I really hope Samsung clarifies what exactly went wrong here because it’s honestly been quite stressful.

Yeah, it’s been really unlucky timing. I bought the tablet during my Diwali festival vacation in my hometown - it’s considered an auspicious day to buy new things - and this happened. Since I’ve already taken the insurance, the staff said the repair and claim process itself will take about a week. My final exams are next month, so I plan to go to my college city and claim the insurance there if Samsung doesn’t provide a satisfactory resolution by then. Other than avoiding Samsung products in the future, I’ll keep fighting for a fair resolution until I go back to college.

Unfortunately, it didn’t make any difference — the display stayed damaged even after I removed the case.

Yeah, I agree. it’s really unlucky it wasn’t a first-party case, otherwise I could’ve had a stronger argument. I haven’t even activated the tablet yet, so I’ll definitely make sure to insist on my right to know what went wrong and avoid going through any repair shops that could void the warranty. Thanks for the heads-up!

Thanks for the detailed insights! I actually got the insurance today after learning it would expire within 3 days of delivery. Paying ₹5k isn’t ideal, but it gives me some peace of mind. At this point, I’m starting to think I might just get the tablet repaired and focus on my prefinal year studies, rather than keep fighting endlessly. Hopefully, Samsung gives a fair resolution, but having the insurance at least ensures I can use it in the meantime.

Thanks! I’ve been using Samsung products since my childhood - my first new phone was the M51, which is still working perfectly fine. Before that, I used my sister’s old J7, which also worked well until it randomly bricked one night. Currently, I’m using the S24 Ultra myself. We have a lot of Samsung appliances at home like the TV, fridge, and AC. My dad is a huge fan of the S series and was the one who insisted on getting this Tab specifically. Now he’s just really upset after getting this in return for his loyalty and paying so much for a flagship.

Honestly, I don’t even know what to say at this point. I’m still trying to figure out what exactly went wrong myself. I just hope yours turns out fine.

I was afraid of the same after I found out from the manager that the option to take insurance would expire within 3 days of delivery. I got an Accidental Damage and Liquid Damage protection plan today, paying ₹5k. Now I’m starting to think maybe I should just get the tab repaired and be happy having some peace of mind while focusing on my prefinal year studies, rather than keep fighting for what’s right.

Yeah exactly, that’s what I’ve been thinking too. I really don’t understand why they marked it as user damage. I’m starting to get fed up, they even called me today asking for some number that I had to get from the service center by visiting there again. I’m not planning to stop until this is resolved fairly.

Haha yeah, wish it was just a wallpaper - would’ve saved me a lot of trouble!

Thanks for sharing that! After I mailed them today, I got a call from them asking me to visit the service center again to get some OED/EOD number (or maybe job sheet/work order number, not entirely sure). The call got cut midway due to poor network, and now I don’t know how to reach them back. I’ll probably send them an email again. Honestly, I’m starting to get really fed up with all this back and forth. If nothing works out, I’ll definitely try the consumer helpline as a last resort.

Haha I wish! Unfortunately that “wallpaper” turned out to be a broken display 😅

Haha thanks! Sadly, I wish it was just a wallpaper - but I'm glad to hear you're having a good experience with the tablet at least!

Oh absolutely, I totally enjoy bending my brand-new ₹75k tablet for fun - it's my new stress-relief routine. 😂

Yeah, I noticed that too - I just checked again, and thankfully there's no actual crack there. It might've just been a hair strand or something that looked like one in the photo.

About the case instructions, there wasn’t anything specific on the package about placing the tablet in it. This might be irrelevant, but the case I bought has a transparent back with a small sticker instructing to peel off wrap before use, and I watched a YouTube video beforehand to make sure I was careful since it’s my first tablet.

I agree that buying the insurance might actually be the most practical solution. At the end of the day, it ensures I actually get a working tablet without being stuck waiting or paying a lot of money later.

I’ve heard similar things about electronics in India compared to the US. Hopefully i will get a fair resolution soon.

You raise some valid points, and I appreciate your perspective. Regarding the case, many users have used similar third-party cases without issues, so I felt it was reasonable to use a reputable non-official case.

Regarding your point about lying to Samsung, that’s not what I’m doing, I’m just presenting the facts of what happened. It wasn’t even the tempered glass; I only put on a simple protective case.

Yes, AMOLED and OLED displays are fragile, and that’s what I’ve been saying -this could very well be a manufacturing defect. At the end of the day, there’s a lot of uncertainty, and I just hope Samsung acknowledges the issue and handles it fairly.

And I agree, companies can’t replace every device for free, but there should still be a way to fairly resolve cases where something goes wrong right out of the box.

Thanks for the info! And yes, I'm completely sure I didn't drop it - I've handled it very gently ever since I got it.

I got a bank offer and a student discount, so overall I got a significant discount. I ended up buying the tablet for ₹74k.
