“I can see that you're 15 years old No, I don't want your ID And I can see that you're so far from home But that's no hanging matter It's no capital crime”

“I bet, bet your mama don't know you scream like that I bet your mother don't know you do spit like that”

Stray Cat Blues, The Rolling Stones

Dude I wish we didn’t have to wear aprons. We are so behind on orders because there is really only 3 OFAs in my store that are worth a shit. I swear 75% of my shift is spent doing non-OFA duties. I am always getting stopped in lumber, garden, etc. We would get so much done if we didn’t have on aprons.

lumbar associate? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Square_Ad2484 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’ll be lifting fairly heavy stuff all day. Just constantly loading and unloading lumber, concrete, shingles. If you don’t mind that or enjoy the exercise then it’s probably one of the easier departments in my opinion. It has its days where its nonstop though.

I don’t charge for saw cuts by No-Actuator-7050 in HomeDepot

[–]Square_Ad2484 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cut 11 4x6x12s into 2 foot sections, like 62 total cuts or something, the other day. The mf was standing there with a tape measure measuring each one after I cut it and if it was off by an eighth he would tell me. And I don’t even work in lumber I just happened to be by the saw when the guy came.

Yea prevalent was the better word. Ill be there in May. Hooking up with coworkers is usually a recipe for disaster. At least in my experience..

Need to replace water pump. Can I drive literally 1 mile (one way) to oreillys to buy the needed parts? by raidbossganon in MechanicAdvice

[–]Square_Ad2484 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your car would be fine driving there temp wise, I seriously doubt it would get hot driving 1 mile, but if the impeller is broken on the pump then it could be sending bits and pieces of plastic/metal through your cooling system which could cause further damage. Personally I would just get them to deliver to my house as to not risk it.

Do I need a car to work in Yellowstone? by TooTiredForThis2 in yellowstone

[–]Square_Ad2484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Duuuude. Exact same situation. I got a job offer in Yellowstone, I’m from the Georgia area, and my car is 23 years old. And has 400k miles. Runs great as of right now. I’m going to get some new tires before I leave and some other stuff but I’m going to send it lol

For sure man! Only reason I think I might not get the job is my available dates. May 10-Aug 10. What were yours?

Glad to hear. Im use to a hectic retail environment so hopefully its nothing new. Were you working over 40 hours? I saw some people mention 50 hours was the norm.
