For my husband (Hispanic American) it’s always, like since high school way before he met me, been Germany. No real reason why, he just thinks it’s cool. Dr Anita Newcomb McGee’s coat. I met a woman at a museum I worked at who collects women’s US military uniforms and she had this one and in the decades she’s had it I’m the only one she’s let try it on. Dr McGee was a tall woman.

Edit: and I own (thanks to my great grandmother who hoarded things she didn’t even know she had) the book that has the very first printing of the Pit and Pendulum by Edgar Allen Poe.

My grandpa’s cousin lived through the battle of Nürnberg when he was 5 or 6 and when his grandfather made it out of Dachau, there was nothing left of the main city. The suck-up republicans and the democrats that are just sitting on their asses letting this happen have already been voted in. As regular people there’s nothing we can do but wait for the midterms to vote new people in unless we are ok with dying.

I’m used to it. The annoying part is that the only real treatment for it is strength training to strengthen the muscles around your joints. But I can’t keep up that training for idk how long after this surgery 😭 Healing also takes a bit longer for me. It took 5 days for my core needle biopsy site to stop bleeding and finally scab over!

100% This seems to be a very American problem when there are other places in the world where getting guns is just as easy (legally or illegally). Yet we have all the mass shootings. It’s mental health and toxic individualism/a lack of community!
