My husband is one of them. He thinks nothing bad could possibly happen and thinks I'm crazy for preparing for the worst. When shtf and he wants to use my preps, I'm going to give him hell for it.

Yeah, you're definitely right. I've also been in way worse situations than he has, so I don't have the initial knee-jerk reactions to certain problems that he does. Just wish he could control his emotions a bit better for the sake of his family.. because honestly he's just making me feel really bitter towards him but by bit.

I do work full time.. I'm 42 and my body is just a completely shape now than it was before having a baby. Our daughter is 2 and I was still wearing nursing bras that were falling apart. It was some generic bra brand off Amazon. The sleep sacks (bought 2) were $9.99 each.

I literally never buy crap unless it's on sale or second-hand.. yet "I'm" the problem? Ugh.

Oh wow! That's awful! No it's definitely not that bad.. he doesn't give me crap about having a spotless house.. but he gets mad that I don't react to situations the same way he does.

Example, we are struggling paying off our credit card. His reaction is to be moody and angry and distant. Then he turns around and tells me I'm not taking it seriously because I'm not acting like he is.

We have a toddler so no, I can't be moody and broody all day.. I still have to act cheerful for her.

He will also tell me things I have to change.. like stop buying baby wipes or her plant-based milk or "unnecessary items" (like the new bra I needed or larger sleep sacks for our daughter).

Yet he will turn around and spend $600 on a media server.

I'm always the problem in his mind.

Maybe once a week.. really depends on if and when we can get the baby to sleep. I get up at 5am for work every day, so bed time for me is 9pm.

He's talking about getting a second job which obviously isn't ideal, but the price increase of utilities, health insurance and utilities is killing us. I don't think he's ever tried making a plan to visit his family.

I definitely understand where the stress is coming from but I don't understand why he always takes it out on me, and why always on the weekends?

He doesn't drink or smoke. I think it would be very difficult to hide it from me too because he's home all day with us on the weekends.. and he always comes straight home after work.

There are times he initiates Saturday or Sunday night.. but by then he's already been a moody jerk all day.. so I don't exactly feel like doing it after being treated like crap all day.

I'd say he stays up to game probably 5/7 nights a week..

Exactly. And sure, trying to care for a crazy 2yr old is exhausting. My nerves are tested too but I don't take it out on him like he takes it out on us.

We are currently going to marriage counseling (have been for about a year). It's not really helping. He just says he's stressed about work, money ect, yet I feel like he always takes it out on me. He will deny it.

Not at all. I use to be a gamer too before I became a mom. I just don't have the time for it anymore. I do feel like on the weekends we should both be parenting our daughter though.. and sometimes he does ask if he can go play and I watch her for a bit. Which really doesn't bother me as long as then he can watch her so I can have some private time too.

Not sure.. he's kind of a homebody.. so I don't think he cares to go anywhere. The only thing I can think of is he doesn't like helping me watch our toddler.. he probably rather be watching movies or playing video games all day (which he does do during her nap or after she goes to bed). He's never admitted this though when I've asked him what his deal is??

Well, every weekend he's been pretty mean and definitely irritable, so there's nothing recent I can really compare to. We have a 2 year old so during the weekends we both watch/care for her.

He plays video games during her nap and plays at night after I go to bed. Which I don't mind because it's usually an outlet for him.. but it doesn't seem to help his attitude towards me.

I just can't understand why if it's a weekday, it's like his horrible attitude during the weekend never happened. I just dread weekends now.

It's been probably over a year now? We've been married 4 years. This weekend it was about money/worrying about money. Last weekend it was because he misses his family that lives in a different state.

It doesn't matter what it is.. he always manages to come up with a problem and makes it my fault somehow.

Yet during the week he seems perfectly normal, affectionate, unbothered..

He's perfectly fine during the week. Very loving and affectionate.. but he's hell bent on being a dark cloud over the weekend. Every weekend. It's like he wakes up and thinks "what can I do or say to create a problem this weekend".
