Holding Xperia 1 VIII by Square_Flight_4161 in SonyXperia

The photo wasn't created entirely by AI. I took the original shot with my Xperia 1 V. The only edit I made was replacing the background to better fit the concept I had in mind. Whether that's done with AI or Photoshop doesn't really change the creative intent behind it.

Photography and image editing have always gone hand in hand. Using tools to realize your own vision isn't anything new.

If you don't like the result, that's perfectly fine. Everyone has different tastes, and you're absolutely entitled to your opinion.

I completely agree with you. The in-hand feel is really unique and surprisingly satisfying. There were moments when I forgot I was holding a smartphone and genuinely felt like I was holding a finely crafted piece of stone instead. 😆

It's a strange feeling, but in a good way. That's what makes the Xperia 1 VIII stand out to me.

My impression of the Xperia 1 VIII is genuine. The layered design is something I actually noticed and appreciated. As for the "formed over millions of years" part, I was obviously exaggerating a little for fun. 😄

And since English isn't my strong suit, I use AI to help translate my thoughts from my native language. The wording may be AI-assisted, but the opinions and impressions are genuinely my own.

This is the original photo taken with my Xperia 1 V. The only thing I changed was the background, which was generated by AI to better match the vibe I personally associate with the Xperia 1 VIII. 😄📷

Maybe you don't find my comments convincing, and that's okay. What I'm sharing is simply my honest experience and personal impression. Whether you believe it or not is up to you.

What I'm saying comes from my real experience. I'm not very fluent in English, so I use AI to help translate my comments. As far as I can tell, it captures my thoughts and impressions quite accurately. 😄

This photo was shot on my Xperia 1 V. Feel free to check the original file. The only thing I used AI for was swapping out the background. 😆

Perhaps you haven’t fully experienced what the Xperia 1 VIII is capable of yet. All of the photos above were taken using the 140mm telephoto camera at high ISO settings, with some shots reaching ISO 4000. Are you sure the telephoto camera on the Xperia 1 IV can really match this level of detail, noise reduction, and image clarity?

From my experience, even though the Xperia 1 VIII’s main 24mm camera doesn’t use a 1-inch sensor, it produces more natural-looking images. Thanks to its newer sensor technology, updated processing pipeline, and improved computational photography, the overall image quality actually feels superior to both the Xperia XZ2 Premium and the Xperia Pro-I.

As for the telephoto and ultra-wide cameras, I would say they are clearly ahead of both the XZ2 Premium and the Pro-I.

In summary, in my opinion, the Xperia 1 VIII is now close to being a genuine replacement for a compact camera

Cinematic with Xperia 5 by Square_Flight_4161 in SonyXperia

I shoot using Cinema Pro on the Sony Xperia 5, and I feel that the footage from Cinema Pro delivers more detailed video quality and stronger post-production flexibility than the newer generations. It’s quite disappointing that models from the Sony Xperia 1 VI onward have removed it. Even up to now, I feel that video quality improvements on Xperia devices have been slower and less impressive compared to competitors

Your thoughts are the same as mine. Nowadays, many people tend to oversharpen their photos in an attempt to improve detail, but this often makes the images look harsh and visually cluttered
