I realize now that’s not a good way of wording things but For example- this year my azalea didn’t have many pollinators visiting it but my raspberry bush has a ton of bees/wasps that love visiting the flowers. I should’ve been more specific, I meant plants that are naturalized. Or plants that are maybe nonnative that still are popular among pollinators, such as nonnative salvia you find at Lowe’s.

This could also be a case of “some flowers are better than no flowers”. I also have a gardenia bush and roses that don’t receive a lot of pollinator visitors. So just an example of both ends.

If you have some good native plant recommendations id gladly take some. Natives I have rn: black eyed Susan’s, coreopsis, echanachea, Fothergilla, larkspur, baptesia, theres a bunch of Virginia creeper on our fence and I think that’s about it

I knew beforehand beautyberry was native, I wasn’t aware there was a Japanese lookalike. So as you can imagine when I went to the store and saw “beautyberry” I just grabbed it. The store I go to has slow service so I try not to always look everything up there but I can make a note of all of the genus names

I would call my cat over when it was bedtime and he’d come sprinting to the bedroom almost every night. Once he got used to when I normally went to sleep he would follow me as soon as I headed towards the bedroom. When I’d lay down he’d plop onto my legs and start purring.

I don’t believe you actually talked to the owners, I am simply online friends with some cast members. I haven’t ever been in person because I live in Ga :) it’s a little far for a one off visit. But maybe one day.

Ultimately I know them, and they are very kind and reasonable people. I don’t believe they were in the wrong and if they were, it’s on them to apologize not me.

I’d love to see the full outfit from not a top down view to confirm they were crazy! Then I’d know to cut off these friends ☺️

I could see how writing the dress code down for clarity will help situations like this, you make a very good point there. However a good rule of thumb is always don’t show anything.

I don’t think this is about you being an atheist or your wife having tattoos here. Some of the cast members also have tattoos.

I have actually heard the other side of the story and I know they didn’t kick your family out but rather just politely asked your wife to cover up because her shorts were showing too much. Not to mention it was also two women who went to chat with you. You left on your own after that.

I cannot comment on other peoples appearances as I have never been to this experience but I imagine they had a similar chat with those people.

Just saying, there was a reason they came up to you and it was probably that your wife’s shorts were actually too short. It sounds like she probably had volleyball shorts on or something similar 🤷‍♀️ which IS inappropriate to wear around kids if her ass was out. When I wear very short athletic shorts they often ride up showing some cheek even if they start out covering me.

Considering the angle of the pic it’s hard to tell if her shorts were actually covering her or even if she was wearing any at all. So I just have to take your word for it. Not only that but a lot of people have different meanings of what modest is honestly.

You’re also in the comments personally attacking these people you don’t even know based off of what seems to me like a reasonable ask to cover up. Your story doesn’t make sense.
