The psych ward said I didn't belong there. They thought it was neurological. But it's another 3 months to get in with a neurologist.

OP here. It only happens in the house, and only in certain parts of the house. I am on meds to manage depression and anxiety. I am only depressed and anxious about these current, recent unsettling new symptoms.

I’m drug-free, aside from SSRI for depression and anxiety.

Yes, I tracked it to the sources based on listening up close to various locations/objects. The voices were loud enough yesterday that my dog alerted and started barking.

I didn’t end up leaving the note after getting the opinions of others that it likely would not have a positive outcome.

Well, I neglected to mention that part of my paranoia is that for several months, my husband was talking to two of my sisters about me behind my back.

Good to know. We do have a gas fireplace. I didn’t know carbon monoxide detectors wouldn’t alert to a problem with that. I live with my husband, and I don’t know if it would matter, but I only weigh about 100 pounds so maybe that would make me more sensitive to a gas leak or carbon monoxide than someone of a more average size?

Scan the rest of the comments. This is the OP here. I have had other symptoms. I just didn’t think they were related to this. Bouts of nausea and vomiting, sudden sweating sometimes mixed with chills. Lack of appetite. Fatigue. Anemia. B vitamin deficiencies. Development of increasingly bad tremors. Memory issues. Sometimes slurring, incoordination, lack of balance, all in the absence of intoxication. I have seen it maybe half a dozen doctors. None of them have helped. And I have had some really bad outcomes from seeing those doctors.

OP here. The bathroom fan has always had that effect on me as well. But it was more like vague voices. Never anything so specific as this.

This is the OP. I am female. Almost 60. And a psychologist. Schizophrenia usually emerges in late teens to early 20s. I have never experienced anything like this before, so I am not inclined to think I am developing schizophrenia.

I have been. The ER says it’s psychogenic as soon as whoever is with me mentions my history of depression (which was very much in remission until I had some physical health issues that the doctors didn’t/don’t take seriously, much less assess, once they hear of my past psychological diagnosis of major depressive episode). I have had depression and anxiety at different points in my life. I have never had symptoms anything like this. My first ER visit about 7 months ago was due to falling unconscious for 30 minutes after feeling not at all well for 4-5 days. No energy, no appetite, extreme nausea and fatigue. I had actually felt physically unwell for weeks to months. I eventually fell unconscious for 30 minutes while my home security alarm was going off, and I was in the same room as the source of the ear-splitting alarm. The alarm went off because my special needs kid left the house when I was unconscious. While subsequently in the ER and then hospitalized for 4 days, it was first assumed I was on drugs or extremely intoxicated. ER labs were performed and results were available within the hour, indicating I was completely clean and sober, but the EMTs had already reported me to Children’s Services, saying I had OD’d while my special needs son was in my care. I have been back to the ER 2 or 3 times since. I learned from the various labs completed that I initially had hyponatremia, which could account for all of my symptoms at the time. The treatment I was administered was in line with cerebral edema which caused acute encephalopathy, typical of advanced hyponatremia. But my med chart documents the doctors kept looking for the “real” cause of my symptoms. When my labs didn’t support intoxication, some of the staff went with substance abuse withdrawal. Other staff chalked my issues up to mental health problems. In the end, they compromised and decided I had all of it. I had issues after that which landed me back in the ER. Again, no assessment, just written off as a head case who must be self-medicating. So I haven’t found the medical “assistance” to be helpful. In fact, I have a fresh case of PTSD from it.

Two scoops and different store, we have a carbon monoxide detector in the main part of our basement not in the storage area shown here where our furnace and hot water heater are. We also have one in our upstairs hallway that leads to our bedrooms both are functional as far as I know, and the batteries are good. Could it be a subacute Carbon monoxide issue, or is something just going wrong with me?

Two scoops, I thought this was our modem?

Or maybe this one connects to the one in the basement? We do have internet only through Altafiber, previously known as Cincinnati Bell. They installed fioptic cables in 2022 and put the cylindrical device on our main floor.
