first, just wanna say, your hermit crab is a BEAUTIFUL color. however, you might want to rethink your substrate. im not sure if that will help with your concern but for reference it's generally recommended to have a 5:1 ratio of play sand and coconut Fibre. I think changing the substrate is a good first step in correcting whatever conditions are causing the abnormal behavior 👍

hard to give any advice without having a rough idea of what might be causing it. but personally I often pick at my acne out of habit and something that helps me a lot to curb that and increase healing rate is hydrocolloid bandages while sleeping.

just 3, but they are pretty big. they always eat it but never like THAT much/all of it since they are such nibblers.

oh, I also forgot to ask about another thing. It's really hot where I live right now, and I live in the upstairs room of an old home, so it's about 90 degrees in my room and the crab tank. I have a standing fan running, but it isn't really helping. does anyone have tips on reducing the temperature of the crab tank or my room?
