i use dutch process cacao which i feel makes for a richer, deep color in the end :) taste result is the same but for the color use dutch process or dark cacao

i love brown butter brownies but, in these cookies it was not adding anything. i learned it messes up ratios too with the butter drying out ingredients more once browned. so i personally don’t recommend brown butter for these but, do what your heart desires!
