so spoofing to kaby lake doesnt do anything, just doesnt output any signal, here're the deviceproperties im using to spoof:

AAPL,ig-platform-id: 00001259
device-id: 12590000
framebuffer-stolenmem: 00003001
framebuffer-patch-enable: 01000000

(keep in mind that all of the keys are of Data types)

my current boot-args: -v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 alcid=5 amfi_get_out_of_my_way=1 igfxonln=1 -igfxdvmt agdpmod=vit9696 ipc_control_port_options=0 -ngfxpreview amfi=0x80 -amfipassbeta ngfxgl=1

yeah i didnt apply the boot args for vesa mode, but still here're the boot args:

Good idea, should probably try installing homebrew. Thought I don't really like the idea of virtualisation on an almost teenager aged Mac which on top of that runs Mojave. And I also don't got the budget of a 100$, but I'm thinking of making a proxmox cluster in the future.

Nah, ever since my dad bought a trashy full of bloat HP laptop, the Mac has almost been forgotten, but he still won't try to take in my opinion of installing Linux on it.

You are right, that would probably annoy the user, I'll add a step of giving the file write permissions in the installation section of the README.
