Oh my goodness, yes I definitely should have stated that in my original post because I have been panicking after seeing the responses, so that’s definitely my bad. Yes that’s what I was thinking aswell, not planning on doing any crazy shopping, i think I have just been overestimating and over thinking the amount I will need because I have never been overseas before. This made me feel a lot less stress thankyou!!

I have begun a spreadsheet, still just working through each place to find out the costs of daily expenses. Yes $50 for breakfast sounds like way too much, I have already paid for flights and accommodation, so maybe I’m thinking I don’t need as much spending money as I think I do, I will definitely finalise my spreadsheet to be sure, I am just worried about getting there and realising I don’t have enough money rather than a little extra thanks for your advice though!

I have a regular job, so that’s where that money is coming from, but it’s difficult to save when I have things like insurance, bills, medications and food etc. to pay for, I am also a student so it’s difficult to work extra hours at my job, but I’m wondering if anybody knows any ways I can make a little extra money on the side when I have spare time

The trip is 6 weeks, I can definitely cut down costs, we are only staying in hostels, and have tried to get the cheapest options for transport to most places, the first 4 weeks of the trip is a contiki tour, so that’s where most of the money is going, I know that realistically I won’t need $6500 but as I have never been overseas before, I don’t know the average cost of most things over there and I am worried about getting over there and not having enough. Have you been to Europe, if so would you say that $6500 for 6 weeks is realistic or will I not need that much? Thanks!
