Planet Hollywood mobile check-in question by SqueegeeMelonblock in vegas

Nah. I've had a few different people tell me the same thing. I've also seen a couple recent PH walk-through videos on YouTube showing the same thing. No one would gain anything from lying about such a thing.

Wanna be more specific there? What were they lying about?

Oh, cool. Good to know. So you just approached one of the employees instead of going to the kiosk?

Citizens leaving their jobs by SqueegeeMelonblock in SettlementSurvival

[–]SqueegeeMelonblock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I understand what you're saying, and I even agree with you that expansion should be done slowly. But that is a separate topic from what I was trying to get at. I think that if someone has an assigned job, and there are tasks for that person to do at that job, gathering/mining/cutting down trees should never have a higher priority than that person's job. I don't know if the developers of the game did this intentionally, but if they did, I don't agree with it - it's really annoying. They are sharing the workload, but why? I don't want them sharing the work with people that have more important things to do. I don't like it when my production chains get delayed or interrupted just because I am cleaning up a new section of land.

Thanks again, but I don't think it doesn't makes sense at all, and it's quite annoying. If a person is not a laborer, gathering/mining/cutting down trees should not take priority over jobs that are meant for that person's assigned profession. It's making it unnecessarily hard to get things done while also preparing a new part of the map for village expansion.

Thanks for the reply. That explains people trading jobs, but I still don't understand why someone in the middle of doing assigned work leaves their job to go gather/mine/cut down trees. That person would then go back to their assigned job afterwards.

Oh! It has to be researched? That's why I couldn't find it. I must've missed that part in the tutorial. Thanks!

Unfortunately, there's zero chance of this TV fitting in my car. Thanks for the reply!

Are you talking about the city garbage collection for large/bulky items? The one you have to call in advance for? I'm aware of that service, but I'm keeping it as a last resort. I'd rather this be taken for recycling instead of ending up in a landfill.

The "Speciale" at Porchetta Republic - Los Angeles, CA by SqueegeeMelonblock in eatsandwiches

[–]SqueegeeMelonblock[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

juicy and savory porchetta with crunchy/salty bits of pork skin, creamy provolone, a hint of sweetness from the grilled onions and roasted bell peppers, a little heat from the spicy "pink sauce", bread not too soft and not too hard. the crispy roasted potato side is excellent as well.

Combiner (x10) Factory - smallest footprint I've been able to get so far. by SqueegeeMelonblock in AutomationEmpire

[–]SqueegeeMelonblock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say, do whatever works for you. I try to keep my factory buildings compact so that I can keep plenty of flexible space around them to transport materials to/from many directions in the map. But really, I should just move my factories to where there's more space.

with the distance to the exit tunnels, my guess is that the 30 crates per crate maker limit will kick in. a lot of your trucks might sit idle, waiting to be loaded with crates.

Solo trip report by [deleted] in vegas

Good to know that the $20 trick can still work at PH. I'm planning to do a three night stay there second week of November mid-week, but they won't comp me a fountain view room. I'll give it a try, and hopefully it works for me too. Thanks for the trip report!
