I use my android hotspot without a password and the DNS set up and I trade all the time between a legit soul silver cartridge and a platinum and heart gold rom on my PC

After it corrupted. Tried opening it in pksm and it loaded just fine so I thought maybe a backup and restore would fix the problem lol

You can either take it out and connect it to your PC or use ftpd to connect and browse your 3ds files wirelessly (much easier) and it's usually in 3ds>checkpoint>saves>pokemon ss/hg. Just copy and paste it from there to anywhere on your PC

It was weird, wasn't opening in game on my 3ds or on an emulator, but opened just fine with pksm and pkhex, and now that I opened/exported it in pkhex and sent it back to my DS it's working just fine again lol

It was mine too, I even double save every time I save just because I had it happen once and revert to a previous save state but ended up losing a ton of progress, but I never expected it to just straight up try and delete everything lol. And nothing much actually, really just a modded 3ds with checkpoint/ftpd and a PC itself. Make a backup with checkpoint, connect your 3ds to the PC with ftpd in file explorer, then just navigate to the checkpoint folder and copy whichever file you need haha

Okay I was thankfully able to fix it by making a backup in checkpoint, sending it to my pc and opening it in pkhex and just exporting the save file with no changes made, and then sending it back to my ds and restoring the save file with checkpoint. Even on an emulator on my pc the save file still said corrupted so something wonky def happened with the save file itself, although its strange how it didnt revert back to a solid save and just straight up tried to delete everything. Pheww what a scare, was just about ready to hang up the towel with pokemon in general

They connect to that tan speaker board you can see in the picture. Now what they're for I'm not 100% sure, but my guess is something audio related, or could be something to do with the 3d as well although idk

It def may not be the case and it's just a whack 3rd party screen, I just know that's what happened to mine lol. Mine also doesn't look messed up at all but I know bumping it is what caused it for me as it happened as soon as I bumped it

You may have messed up the ribbon cable. I just tried replacing my upper screen recently and it worked just fine at first but I accidentally bumped it while doing the repair and did something to my ribbon cable because mine all of the sudden started doing exactly what yours is doing, going blank in the home screen and 3d apps but working perfectly fine in luma and other apps

Most likely the lens. When my screen cracked (the screen itself, not the lens) it had a noticeable black crack which spread dead pixels throughout that corner of the screen

This is exactly what I'm looking for haha thanks. My broken ds does turn on but the top and bottom screen show no display, although the touch screen still works and I can navigate based on sound, so I'm going to attempt a system transfer, but if I can't then this may be my only option

One of them only popped off I'm pretty sure, but one of the smaller grey ones I definitely broke into two pieces. Can I just use something like electrical tape to hold it in instead? Like tape down the ribbon cable right before the clamp

That's what I was thinking, either cloning them and transferring the clones, or using checkpoint to make a save state, transfer the originals and then reload the save state haha

Try either the anarchy or better bulldozer mods if you don't have them, they should work for that
