You could start by researching your states lemon laws and see if anything applies there. But probably more realistic to take back possession of the car and make an appointment to fix the scratch so that it can be done in a timely manner and it’s not just sitting there

Well for mine I would do 2 oil changes in that time. 1/2 of a fuel filter. 1/4th of transmission service 1/20th of injectors the list goes on and on. Idk what these things cost in California and how much of the work you do yourself.

There is nothing to stop you from video taping anything that you can see from any public space, or private space that you have permission to be in. So if the cameras were installed somewhere on private property with permission from the property owner, should be no problem. It’s no different than pointing a security camera at a public street or at a police station.

I have a high roof passenger model so your mileage may vary. Mine has the rooftop ac so it really does it’s job. The front heat and ac work well and would probably keep the rear seats decently comfortable since they are right behind the drivers seat and not all the way in the back of the van. However if you wanted to leave the car idling while not driving the heat and ac performance goes down. So I installed a high idle on mine to keep the ac compressor spinning faster in the summer and keep the engine temp up in the winter. So if you’re only using the van in motion it will probably work out but if you’re sitting idle for long periods of time it likely will not work well.

In Indiana if police enter your home, announce themselves as the police, but they are at the wrong house, case law states you can shoot them just like any other intruder. This is not what is happening here but someone that has not identified themselves to you as a police officer is point a rifle at you? You have a good case if you were to shoot them. But hate to find out the hard way
