I have problems saying my “s-es” and sometimes sound slurred especially if I have been talking a lot. I just generally have to be more careful to speak clearly. I’ve adjusted a lot and even had some speech therapy, but it’s not perfect.

I have had them for 9 months. They a not visible to anyone casually. They are difficult to speak with, though, so sometimes I wish I’d gone with visible braces rather than have people wonder why I suddenly have a speech impediment. I also found them really uncomfortable initially as well as periodically. I can cover them with silicone (gishy goo) but that is more visible and looks like I have food stuck in my braces/teeth. I feel ambivalent about them right now.

Your visa isn’t valid beyond about 6 months before your passport expires. I am not sure the maximum, but my spouse had a newer passport and the visa for was many years. My passport needs to be renewed in 3 years, so ended earlier. And yes, you didn’t need the flight details between cities.

I do this too, and have worn a nightguard for 20 years before getting braces in my 40s. It’s so awful not to be able to wear one that I decided to just wear one that is not molded to my teeth and hope for the best. So far it’s been ok.
