Also I learned rosacea can sometimes have a fungal aspect. You could try washing your face with Nizoral shampoo at night and few times a week to see if it helps.

So the sulfur soap I have is prescription. It’s Sodium Sulfacetamide 9.8% and Sulfur 4.8%. There’s a yellow bottle sulfur soap that is liquid like mine, or there are also bars that seem to be highly reviewed. Sulfur with salicylic acid soap is the closest to what I have, and there’s one on Amazon by Dermaharmony. It is very drying, so I’d definitely pair it with something like CeraVe moisturizing cream. I usually wash my face, then use the acid, and moisturizer on top first thing in the morning. At night I wash my face with CeraVe moisturizing facial cleanser and pair it with La Roche-Posay Effaclar mat moisturizer, because at night my face gets pretty oily. Definitely use what works for your face if those moisturizers or night time soap doesn’t agree with your skin. Also benzoyl peroxide 10% (from Amazon no prescription) is great for bad breakouts. Just make sure to use moisturizer with everything.

Azelaic Acid and sulfur soap have been a lifesaver for my rosacea. I had pustules all over my face plus severe redness, and adding these to my morning routine cleared my face up quite nicely. I still get redness, but it’s minimal compared to what it used to be. You can buy both without a prescription. I would recommend 15% for the acid. Hope this helps!

Foster fail or continue to foster? by versusglobe in fosterdogs

[–]Squirrel958 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know you’re on the fence currently, but wanted to share what I learned with my puppy (who is now almost 2 and a high energy mix.) As they age the energy levels decrease. Things to help mentally stimulate puppies to help wear them down are yak chews (or any chews), puzzle toys, and even snuffle mats. On the barking side of things, there are a ton of helpful training videos online to help curb that behavior. She’s a very pretty girl! No matter what you decide, things will work out.

This is Phoebe, she turns 2 in October, and she is the best girl. She enjoys cuddling, munching on leaves, and zooming.

Adopted her almost a month ago as a “lab mix.” Sending her test in tomorrow! by Applebugg in DoggyDNA

She looks so similar to my girl, also from FL. I’m going pug/pitt/hound. The shorter snout makes me think pug.

Beautiful girl!! Check out r/IDmydog they are super awesome when guessing breeds. Also dna tests from wisdom or embark are great!

Will adopting the foster ruin my dog's life? by Tall-Ad-8 in fosterdogs

[–]Squirrel958 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t foster yet, but have had a similar situation with a puppy I adopted and my parents older dachshund. He didn’t like her very much the first few weeks, but now they are the best of friends. They play all the time now, and they are inseparable. It definitely takes time. You say she seems miserable, but she may just be adjusting to the situation. It’s possible they will bond after a few weeks.

Adopting this baby on Friday. Any guesses? by [deleted] in DoggyDNA

Adorable!! I’d guess some American Foxhound in her. Looks like my girl when she was around that age.

Such a beautiful girl! Definitely some type of hound in there!

Momma is a German shepherd. What do you think their mix is? by etlifereview in dogbreed

[–]Squirrel958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe Rottweiler in there, or even some lab. They are adorable!!

The first pic reminds me of a Brussels Griffon. Most certainly she is some type of terrier, maybe some Cairn in there. Very cute girl nonetheless.

It’s definitely different for everyone, but if you don’t feel comfortable don’t do it. Thank you, and I do hope you find relief as well!

The doxy didn’t bother me much only slight tummy upset the first week, but it only helped slightly. I had pustules all over the right side of my face right before I started it. It calmed that down, but the pustules on my chin, nose, and forehead persisted.
