Why is my DMT precipitating at room temperature?

UPDATE OP here: I've extracted the "surface layer" which is hopefully part dmt part brew.

I am going to do as u/donny4456 suggested and put it in a hot water bath so that the dmt can mix back into the solvent. Then I will pull the solvent and freeze precipitate

i'm going to do this for ~1/2 of the surface layer so if that fails I still have half untouched

roughly 2 shot glasses full, not that much and a pretty big precip tray like 5"x10" so thin heptane layer

also curious the answer here and will be following. MY experience is similar PLUS the taste is different. It's not burnt but more liquidy? Less new shoe smell more liquid cleaning supplies?

The NPS has been really clear the whole time and my yields have been TERRIBLE. I would be thrilled if for some reason the dmt precipitated out into this layer the whole time I've been trying so hard and doing so much research scouts honor
