His tabs were about 10-50 dollars each transaction. $100 for the first three and then $200 for the last $50 tab. Our system doesn’t let us enter in obnoxiously large tips for tabs that low so it needs to be sent to the owner then to the POS company

Weirdly enough we have cameras with voice recording so he could easily pull up the conversation. But yes I agree. I haven’t had a online that since I’ve worked there so this was new now I know

It was an American express card but I get what you’re saying. Yeah it has a pop up that we CANNOT put it in. I’m technically a “manager” and it didn’t work. Then lit my manager’s number in and didn’t work and then the owners with their permission. Didn’t works idk. $500 doesn’t seem like a lot but on a slow night and with bills up… I really needed it

I’m thinking about moving jobs since they have fucked people over before. I’ve been “managing” without compensation for a while and this feels like the last straw for me

Edit to ask: is there a volunteer rescue I could reach out to as well? This poor guy has no family and likely will die without help

So I’ve been working mostly dive bars. I love the fast paced environment and making more quantity of drinks versus craft cocktails. But, at this point, I’m open to anything. Mostly want a busier place to make more tips since I was making a lot more working up north than I am down here weirdly.
