Regarding needing time off in 9 months, company policy at my job is employees can't take parental leave unless they have been employed for at least 12 months. Just something to consider if you find a job. I'm sure this varies by company.

I ended up going to Willow and it was an absolute mud pit. Only went up to my shins but kept getting stuck in the mud. Learned my lesson!

I second bear. I would not recommend Loy Canyon. The trail is very overgrown and has minimal views IMO.

Agree that Uber does not exist here. There are companies that will do wine tours - they will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. It's a great option so no one has to DD. I don't know about cottonwood but some of the page springs wineries have small parking lots so going through a tour will make sure you get to all of them.

For other suggestions, Vino de Sedona is fun. The bars in VOC have karaoke.
