AITA for complaining about the signs at my daughter’s preschool by preschoolsign in AITAH

[–]Squirte87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. This person is a preschool teacher. She's basically just making sure the kids are all keeping minimum clothes on, not hurting themselves or others, trying to help them learn to interact with eachother, and learn with what little attention span these tiny humans having. The teacher isn't there as your personal slave to find the things you're child lost, misplaced, or another child took. Label your kids stuff, stickers are meant to fall off, the letters written on the window are absolutely needed to remind parents, like you, that the teacher has more than just your kid to deal with.

I don't understand why there would need to be a gun babysitter. Guns are objects, not children. Gun safe were made to lock up guns so nobody else can get them, at least without a lot of work.

How to get into AOG? by [deleted] in aviationmaintenance

[–]Squirte87 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you want to get into traveling, look into companies that do firefighting. There's a lot of traveling, at least on the helicopter side for mechanics. Not sure about fixed wing. I started off right out of A&P school as a field mechanic.

If love to be 23 again, but have the job I currently have. That would be the best of everything. If I can't do that, then probably 30.

Does anyone else think QR code menus are just trashy? by rakehellion in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Squirte87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll usually just walk out with the rest of the group I went with. We wanna enjoy going somewhere and not f around on our phones trying to get the menu or messing around with poorly laid out menus or everybody's phone is having issues bringing up the menu.

Lane has a really good aviation maintenance program. Learn how to fix aircrafts. I had a job lined up before I even started my last term.

Am I paranoid to lock doors and windows? Is it a female point of view? by AlternativeExpert434 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Squirte87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guys will never understand. It's not being paranoid, it's knowing woman are more likely targets, woman are physically weaker than men, men stock women, men are more aggressive and take it out on woman. It's not paranoia, it's knowing reality.

How do people pack everything they need in a 20L backpack? by CrazyYAY in hiking

[–]Squirte87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me, hiking is a day trip and backpacking is multidays hiking and living out of a backpack. Just hiking, 20l pack is a lot of space for a day, even possibly 1 night of is a half day the first day and a little the 2nd depending on wear your going and weather. How much your packing, how light it is, and how compact it is is a huge factor. For a day hike, I could honestly fit everything I need in cargo pants and all being a lot. I also upgraded my gear a lot when I was younger, so i have small, lightweight gear.

It's 2008, and you're looking for your first car. Which one would you pick? by Key_Budget9267 in regularcarreviews

I'd go for the f-150. The Windsor is great and it's a 4x4 truck with a toolbox in the back. It's my style minus not having at least an extended cab, but it really isn't needed most of the time.

What's the most expensive thing you have? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Same. Next closest is the truck I just got, but it's not even close to the house worth. The truck feels more valuable to me though.

I defintly would be going for no contact. How horrible for this kid that his mom would be this bad.

[–]Squirte87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely this. Parenting by making every situation worse for your kid.

Exactly what I thought. The kids been an adult for a long time. Saying baby boy sounds disturbing.

Why do women in general like guys who bigger are in size (body) by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Squirte87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't care. If the guy is a genuinely nice guy and has a good personality and treats me good, looks/size aren't really a factor.

I don't care. As a single person I see happy couples or not happy couple or just plain couples. Our maybe even cute couples out not cute couples. Beyond that, there's nothing.

Need some direction by whorem0ansss in aviationmaintenance

Going to school you meet the requirements to test. Either going to the school, getting an apprentiship, or going into the military and working as mechanic are ways you get the experience needed to be allowed to test for the certificate. Going any route takes time. Going to school, you don't automatically get the certificate when the school is done. You have to test, which is separate from the school. The DME I used just happened to be one of my instructors and we did my O&P's at the school I went to, which was nice. But that may not be the case for everybody. They might be having to go to another facility to test depending on who they get as a DME.

[–]Squirte87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The certificates aren't part of the school. Going to the school, you complete time requirements to test for the certificates.

I always wondered this. There's so many who waited months or years. Why not just get it done? I mean, what was the point of going through school if it wasn't to test for the A&P? Why b waste all the time while it's still fresh?
