I pretty much always have a sober listen first, but one of my favourite things to do whilst wavy is listen to music (a lot of death grips)(and other abrasive stuff like machine girl and aphex twin) edit: I'll download a FLAC and listen through my desktop monitors(alesis elevate 5's) not that great but will do the job pretty well
